Found this on ebay. All tracks are recreations which is not mentioned anywhere on the cover,rear or centre pages. I've been fooled.

@vi-res I was similarly caught out by a Silva Screen John Carpenter compilation. It didn't make it clear at any point in the listing that it was 'covers', and I assumed being Silva Screen it would be originals. The only positive was that it didn't cost too much.

I'd be quite excited for Waxwork's release of this if I want terrified of the cost of getting a 3LP Waxwork in the UK!

Currently listening to digital promo of imminent VISITORS FROM THE GALAXY ost via Fox & His Friends. Splendid stuff - 80s Yugoslavian sci-fi stylings, a must for analogue synth heads!

The digital version is about 2 and a half hours long, so it's a bit much in one sitting. It might suit a 3LP format to break it up a little. I don't have much to compare it to other than Wojciech Golczewski's recent releases, but that's purely on a spacey/synthy level; it's a different vibe. You'll be able to make your own mind up through Bandcamp.

This sounds as if it could be off cuts from Halloween lll, obviously the same synthesisers were incorporated. Probably the most minimal Carpenter score to date.

@vi-res - Great pick with Christine. I agree with you that it's Carpenter's most minimal score, and could almost pass for a minimal techno album. Icy synth hooks...

@Deaf - will have to check out that Library - in the meantime couldn't find anything on the Beat DVD disc or packaging pertaining to playable regions so I would suspect it is region free... sleeve notes on this package in Italian and English by Daniele De Gemini, so sure he could confirm :)

Also picked up this other beautifully packaged giallo thriller CD comp via a Discogs seller that will appeal to you Italian fans out there.

I must admit, I'm partial to the Mondo cover for The Visitor too. I picked up the Mondo on the cheap a year or so ago (remember those good old days when you used to be able to pick things up on the cheap? Haha).
