Currently obsessed with this after picking up in my local....

Lena Platonos, Galop: re-issue of Greek synth lp from '85 on Dark Entries Records

Apart from her voice - in which she sings/ narrates/ intones entirely in Greek - the whole record is composed electronically, giving it a spacey, otherworldly feeling that is both futuristic and almost ahistorical. And while I haven't a notion what she's saying, her poetry and spirit shine through, making the album sound alien yet intimate and warm, as if she's speaking directly to the analog receptors in your brain. This is definitely an album you FEEL your way around intuitively. Massive recommendation.

Available through Juno in the UK or the label if Stateside, >>here<<

Mica Levi also has a white room release up at the Vinyl Factory... you know, if you were already going to pre-order those 3x 12" releases they put up recently.

I'd also recommend the Gesaffelstein 2LP they still have for sale.

Nice one Spun. Just missed the cassette last year which went like lightning. A must for ghostbox fans who will have grabbed the recent 7"

Still available at Phonica for those in UK. 300 ed.

@Oiche - yes, both of the Listening Center cassettes were top notch and nice guy too. Enquired via Bandcamp whether there were any of his first still available and he offered to make me up a fresh one.

@chuck - Jon Brooks' latest was posted on the previous page of this thread ;) Good shout, tho'. Apparently (al)mostly gone from the label now.

There where a bunch of people from here who picked up the Joe Davolaz 5" flexi disc we've released a few weeks ago. FYI are we releasing a new Joe Davolaz 7" in late July probably called "Cha Cha André" and the b-side is called "Playa Royale". Tropical goodness! The Piña Colada 5" flexi is now sold out officially, but the plan is to press it on real vinyl soon too.

Also I would like to give a heads up to a release with Domotic that we're releasing now on June 11th called "Le Démon Des Hautes Plaines" and is a soundtrack to a French indie western with the same name. For those of you who like Francois de Roubaix etc could this be something. 300 copies on black LP split join with French label Clapping Music. Pre-orders available now! Release party for you Parisians @ Médiathèque musicale de Paris (Forum Des Halles).

Kind regards,
John

Fujita Scale was one of my favorite releases of last year. Can't believe it hasn't sold out yet.

Nice, I added the No Som Germans LP which sounds really solid.

Ships in October though? Kinda lame to do a pre-order this far out.

Did anyone else get Walberswick? My copy is horribly off-center, haven't been able to get ahold of the label. Was curious if anyone else has a problem since off-center usually isn't a one-off defect.

I did and no issues with my copy old bean. May just a one off mis-press. Does it affect play?
