[quote=17382]I am not sure Spencer even remotely implied that they weren’t aware of it, just that they haven’t joined it.
I know I would be hesitant to join if I were Mondo. The amount of vitriol aimed at them everywhere I turn (most of it around poster drops) would make me hesitant to ever ‘read the comments,’ never mind to engage in the comments. A lot of it what I see if just bitterness about Mondo’s primary business model (small poster runs as per license agreements) and how that doesn’t work very well with Mondo’s huge popularity.

I don't believe there is any excuse for Mondo as to why they've not joined by this point. If they can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen I would say in regard to them having to deal with negative feedback regarding their products or service. They can't expect to sell a high price item like a $35 record or a $75 poster and just expect everyone to give them their money, they'll send out products whenever they feel like it, and everything will be okay. It just doesn't always work that way, so to constantly ignore the bad is silly.
I definitely reject that there is vitriol thrown at them. That makes it sound like everyone that complains on here has no valid points, and any strike against Mondo's business is an unwarranted attack. I think that is completely false.
I think a lot of people on here are not remembering all the complaints. If you're really curious why so many people end up unhappy with Mondo, please RE-READ this thread. You shouldn't base your view off of the last one or two complaints...there are 46 pages here...start reading before you start telling everyone how awful they are for complaining against Mondo.
I think I've said this before, but it bears repeating perhaps here...I will continue to buy Mondo vinyl strictly because there isn't always an alternative to getting the music. IF I can find an alternative to buying a Mondo-released soundtrack, I will. I've had too many negative experiences, I've seen too many other complaints against them...I just do not like supporting them. I don't care if they don't have their shit figured out but the owner is a cool guy - if they charge a premium price for a product that I want, I expect them to have the decency to have quality control and good customer service. If they don't, then my money will go elsewhere. It's really very simple.
They have every right to release any album they want, I could care less what decisions they make or any other label. I'm not complaining at all about what they release, just how they do it and how they handle it.
