Never seen anything like this. Absolute insanity. Loved it!

I’m all in on that, @Bez!

Had a morning V-Day double bill of later giallo- Too Beautiful to Die (Italo, ‘88) and Knife Under the Throat (French, ‘86). Both highly enjoyable and featuring the one woman who, in a different universe, I am a dangerously obsessed creep over…. Florence Guerin 😍

Nice one!
I have seen Too Beautiful to Die, but the other not yet.

I am watching the new Running Man at the moment. Didn’t think I would enjoy it, but I do.

Watched Kurosawa's remake of Serpent's Path, really enjoyed it. I thought the changes were interesting and kept me engaged in the story in a way as I was unsure what they were going to do next. They were not particularly big changes but enough that it makes it feel like an alt companion piece to the original instead of just a direct remake. I was trying to explain to my wife how I liked a few things they did differently and how the emotional core of the film felt very different but in my explanation she just said that sounds just like this one lol

Either way I think everyone should watch this and recommend it

I've been on the fence about watching this, I love Wright's films but the trailer looked not good. Maybe I'll download it this week and give it a go

So I watched The Running Man this weekend and that was the most mediocre film, nothing particularly bad but also nothing good either. I don't like Glenn Powell, I think he's not a good leading man. At the beginning of the film there were a few moments where it felt like a Wright film and then it plays out just about like any other modern big budget studio action film. I didn't hate it but have no interest in watching it again

On the flip side of that I also watched 964 Pinocchio, holy hell that's a wild film. Felt very much in the same vein as Tetsuo the Iron Man, hyper kinetic cinematography, insane performances. Had so much fun with this one
