The distortion toward the end of “Trouble” is on the OG as well. Fidenco sounds like he is overdriving the percussion or using a distortion filter. Overall, the reissue sounds good. Compared to the original it sounds a bit more bass-heavy/hotter, but that is from my amateur ears on my low-end setup. The original seems to have a more nuanced sound where I don’t feel it’s pushing the limits as closely.

A little staticky out of the sleeve but otherwise super pleased with this. Nice sound all around so far. I’ll probably pick up the MOV too at some point, who am I kidding.

Wow that arrived incredibly quick. I feel like everytime I order from Mondo when something is in stock and ready to ship I have to wait 2 weeks for it to ship and finally arrive.

It shipped that day! I was honestly shocked as I thought it was a preorder and it still wasn’t due for another few days.

I gotta say, I actually like the art on this a lot. I’m getting the vibe that the concept was to mimic the painting styles of the era, it’s not for everyone but I’m very pleased with the package all around. This is atop ten movie of all time for me (and as y’all have seen, IP in general) so there was really very little doubt I was pulling the trigger on it no matter what, but I’m pleased with the results.

The Lennox track in particular sounded great, such a richly textured song deserved the vinyl treatment for sure.

Would love for someone to do a nice vinyl reissue of Tokyo Emmanuelle.

While Tommasi was alive it was an impossible mission. It is said that he destroyed the original tapes and if you tried to ask him about this score he would send you to hell.
The Zeder gadget is so crazy that it will probably not be possible to ship it outside of Italy. Anyway I'll let you know.
I am guessing you are adding a typewriter to the Zeder score :-)
Not a typewriter, sorry! But the limited edition should ALSO have typewritten liner notes....

I just got this in and it sounds quite good. Only had time for a single spin tonight but I'll be spinning it more tomorrow

Never seen nor heard about this one before. Is it a real score from the seventies or a fictional new score? Galileo only has one credit and I see the performer is Fantasy 15 which is a new band.
Here's what the website says
In the fateful year of 2020, Vincent John and Maxwell Perla of Eraserhood Sound were fortunate enough to stumble upon the score to the long-lost, never completed 1974 Italian film Ribelle Di Mare. It was not long before they realized they had discovered an opus, written by legendary film composer Sandro Galileo in what was supposed to be his final soundtrack. Cruelly, the film was abandoned before it could be completed, and the ashes of Galileo’s final work were swept aside and forgotten. Until today. Eraserhood Sound is proud to present Ribelle Di Mare in all its glory, produced and performed by house band Fantasy 15 in their signature “Synth & Soul” sound. Enjoy the nine stunning tracks that follow, which range in style from dramatic Philly Soul balladry, Spaghetti Western r&b, and Italian library funk. Available on LP and CD formats.

**It is possible you will receive an extremely rare white label Promotional copy**

RIBELLE DI MARE is the story of Massimo, a debonair man of mystery returning to his humble coastal hometown of Mercuri after years of living an indulgent, playboy lifestyle. Seeking a simpler life, he seeks to reconnect with his first teenage love, Rosalia, only to find she had died years prior in a mysterious accident at sea. Soon enough, however, Massimo is visited by his long-lost lover’s ghost. As the two reconnect and fall in love all over again, Rosalia reveals that she can only stay with Massimo on Earth for two weeks. But Rosalia makes him an offer: at the end of two weeks, he can choose to walk out into the ocean waters to die, trusting that in the next life he will be reunited with Rosalia for a blissful eternity. Or he can leave Mercuri, never to return, forgetting any memory of their love, to resume his life of fleeting pleasure and confusion.
It's a modern group recording an incomplete score from 74 (supposedly). What ever the circumstances are, it's an enjoyable listen. I think a few songs are on streaming (full album might be up by now too)
Il Ribelle del Mare it's a fake. In Italy we don't say 'Punteggio' for score but Musiche or Colonna Sonora. And no one in Italy composes and records music before the shooting of a B (C-D-Z) movie.
