A Hosono record I have not heard. Not sure how this one slipped past me but I will be investigating this weekend.

@Nathan - wow, never seen Henry? It's a dark and strange trip. I have some friends that are obsessed to the point where it's beyond cult classic to them. Some people seem put off at first thinking it's just another cheap serial killer trash film, but it is much deeper and more sinister than that. I would not say it was enjoyable to watch, but it was difficult to look away. Supposedly, Michael Rooker wore his own clothes in the film and stayed in character throughout the entire shooting if you believe the tales. Interesting guy...

Yeah I kind of knew of what it is and it's reputation but never really looked into it. Wanted to catch it on prime a couple months ago but I was with people and thought they probably didn't want to have a heavy movie for the night. I think I'll try to watch it soon. Maybe this weekend. I've seen a lot of the classics but some cult stuff I never had the occasion to see. Like, I don't think I saw any Abel Ferrara except for Ms.45. I never saw Natural Born Killers. They might not have been distributed as widely in Canada when I was young and I used to rent VHS and stuff.

Excellent spins here of late. I only attempted to watch Henry once on VHS, with my family, (!) as a teen. I distinctly remember having to go to bed half way through as it was too disturbing, and over breakfast cereal the next day my mum and sister (way more hardcore than 13yr old me!) saying how good it was!

Another great new arrival... down, down, deeper and down......

Very nice clean playing copy, super happy. There's a touch of distortion in the hotter parts (wind n horns) which I realise, having spun my Harkit last week before selling it on, is baked in/pressing issue and nothing to do with my new stylus since I believe the Harkit to be taken from a copy of this pressing. Nothing terrible or too distracting but it's there.

This is wild - experimental music scores by Takashi Inagaki for the short films by Takashi Ito. I've always loved these films and the music in them is a disorientating listen. 2xLP set packaged in a black envelope and screen printed overbag. Not quite as exciting as I'd hoped considering the fairly high price on the set.

Never heard of Takashi Inagaki, or those films, wild stuff indeed.

Not sure how official these Japanese ost comps are out of Italy. I had assumed they were bootlegs, but not completely sure. The sound quality is better than I remember, and the music is killer fuzz grooves. I think it is a collection of CD only stuff put on vinyl. Great stuff but would prefer full osts rather than comps.

I have one of these comps (the Killing Melody one with Meiko Kaji on the front) and it's boss, I'd like to snag this one but damn- too pricey! :(
