Wicked nice haul, Tex! Which Roger Roger is it?

PS - Would you mind posting a pic of that Cobra LP? In your own time of course.

The Roger Roger one is this https://www.discogs.com/Roger-Roger-Mus ... se/2989104
There are a couple of excellent tracks and several less so

The Cobra is this one https://www.discogs.com/Simon-Haseley-E ... se/1714124

Of which this track was sampled by Air:

The big prize was Rene Costy Small Group Sounds on Chappell but I couldn't afford to drop the $250 they were asking. Looks like they already sold it too.

I was tempted to grab "Prime Cuts" on Impress https://www.discogs.com/Toni-Campo-Prim ... se/2314975 but they wanted $70 which isn't really a good deal.

My favorite is definitely the Capitol, this track is good and the one after it (not on Youtube) is even better

This one is just swell and dandy. I like it a lot. I think I have a soft spot for funky jazz flute stuff. The lineup is excellent... Molino of course on guitar, Nino Rapicavoli on the flute, Duilio Radici (aka Rigol) on the keys and Ciro Cicco (To-Days Sound, Love, Discomusic etc) on the drums. All killer no filler.

Texas, I adore that In chiave Di Paura vol 1 you posted to vinyl now playing thread. It's one of the albums I most liked in the leonardi digital output. Is it too hard to find?

I don't think it turns up much unfortunately. I bid on a recent auction and it went for 80 bucks. Definitely an interesting record from a guy who started off as a Dixieland trombonist!

I'd love to get a copy of the 2nd volume, and his scores to "Dorian Gray" and "Man with Icy Eyes" are two huge wants....also looking for a copy of Reportages Musicali on Grand Prix.

Check out the track "Rito A Los Angeles" (under name Giuseppe) on YouTube, it's killer...

@Texas: i should have In Chiave Di Paura N.2 somewhere. will have a look. seen that auction. the describtion was exaggerated to the maximum as usual. also i am quite sure the cover is not made by Daniela Casa.

the autumn has been quite dark for the past few days so i had to chose a suitable soundtrack and these served me well. for me the first two are the real jewels from the 7000 Hi-Fi series. creepy haunting giallo psychedelia at it's best. Alessandroni, Sorgini and De Filipps's finest...

many thanks, too kind of you reminding me of my secret fetish, haha! did not see this post before! looking for Capitol Hi-Q series titles. you can look if they have anything in there. usually they come with plain generic sleeves... if you can have a look what's in there i would be really thankful...

another underdog from the dark side of the [library] force. spooky and psychological bizarreness. besides the music i love the simple cover art on this one but the best thing is how they spell the word Psyco (?) which seems to be a fusion of the english psycho and the italian psico, haha!

Yes, overstated as always although without the usual "dopeness" and "drugged out" descriptors! And the psychedelic cover does not really reflect the music. But it is a good listen! I do wonder about the "Daniela" signed art on the cover, why are you sure it could not be Daniela Casa? Not that it really matters, just curious.

I will try to get back to the store to check for hi-q records. I don't recall seeing them but there were a lot of titles in generic sleeves. They've been out in the store more than a week and they just had a big 30% off sale, so there may not be many left. It's hard to get out to the store for me these days with the baby and my wife watching record purchases like a hawk!! "I'm gonna go to the record store" is met by a big scowl of suspicion haha

I've coveted this LP since a friend shared a rip of it with me a ways back. You wouldn't happen to have Corviria's Descriptive on Titian, would you?

It's on Spotify and it's a great listen! A bit weird and cooky. I love that Albatros track. https://open.spotify.com/album/2MdNVAakcQ8pJS2lega9mg

I'm still waiting on that darker Psychoanalysis to come on Spotify.... I'll be all up on that too. Also I really hope for Scappo Per Cantare to come, but i think it's unlikely as only one Fama album is on spotify by Pirames.

@Mateo: unfortunately i don't have Corviria ‎– Descriptive on Titan but I will have it one day....i promise!

@Tex: i think the chance of Daniela being the artist of the cover art is quite big but it is not confirmed by anybody.

really happy to finally hear this medium rare record for the first time ever. got that one as a gift a few weeks ago and i really enjoy it. some big names on there for sure and some heavy hitters they provide as well...cover art is ace too! only one more title to go to complete my Themes International collection, yeah!

Nice groovy little library on Southern, cheap too. Tony Kinsey and one track by Sven Libaek. Not sure who "The Multitunes" are though.

nice one @Texas! here is the alternative cover that i have. i believe it is a later pressing. seems like they tried to make their covers a little more attractive with increasing competition...

played this in the morning and it is so good! beautiful panoramic melancholia by Sorgini. i feel like in heaven when i hear it with my headphones on so the cover matches quite well...

only recently i found out that a later pressing on Nuova Fonit Cetra exists. this might be a little easier to find.
