Coming soon from Pure Destructive Records. Iffy art and a truly ponderous color choice for the wax (The Stuff white is the clear choice here), but it's cool that this movie and its score are getting a bit more love in the past couple of years.

Nah. That would require at least a modicum of wisdom, insight, and/or the ability to reflect. I'm just going to drop some bad garage band covers of Nickelodeon cartoon theme songs from the 90s and early aughts. No way anybody has thought of that yet.

Fuck, I love The Stuff. Honestly can't recall the music, but will be compelled beyond reason to add this to my colXion.

As an aside...I'm sure PDR are legit n' all, but there's something about their title choices, long pre-orders, uber-pricey liquid filled whotnots that kinda rings a small alarm bell in my head. It's like someone is preying on our 80s horror fandom obsessiveness or something, goddam 'em!

(No really though, I'm sure they're fully paid up enthusiasts like the rest of us, and I for one I am SUPER grateful that Night of the Creeps/The Stuff are happening - but they aren't quite hitting the high bar set for artwork with these 'mockups' so far. I'm hoping that they are still 'works in progress'/teasers)

I would release some of those titles. But it seems like the day they sign something they throw up a preorder, as evidence that there is no track listing or info or final cover as to what's to be on it. From that point it can take 5-7 months to even get it out. I'm not going to preorder their "stuff" anymore until they get a better handle on it. Xtro was offered in April i think... At least approve the test pressing first. my 2 cents.

Has anyone received a release from PDR yet? They do keep their roster growing, yet still seem to keep pushing back original orders. I have stopped on preorders for a few labels over this. It's crazy that records ordered in March are still undelivered, yet multiple new releases are offered up for sale...

I received my copy of TERRORTRON a while back, a very nice release. I imagine for a small operation they're also having to take a number & stand in line to get things actually pressed.

Hmm....this is a bit odd. If you notice in the credits (and these things matter in the film bizz, believe me), the music is credited to Benjamin Walfisch & Hans Zimmer. In that order.

So I came away from the film thinking something along the lines of "well BW probably did the lion's share of work, and HZ had his back". But now I have no idea what the real story is behind this score.

But then again....who does?!

I noted the exact same thing and made mention of it in the now watching thread. My guess is that Wallfisch gets top billing on screen because he did in fact do the majority of the work. That may even be a contractual obligation or union reg. However, for the purposes of album sales, Zimmer gets the nod due to his notoriety and name value on the CD.
