I never liked the cover art on this Mondo release, but I love the mastering and even the movie dialogue on this 45 speed two record set.

That's a great afternoon of listening right there, woot. I too have that first Italian pressing of Fistful of Dollars/A Few Dollars More, with the super thick card sleeve and killer artwork ;)

Currently spinning for the first time - I like this film a lot and have always wanted the score real bad. I could just live inside this music, so rich and lush. Clear wax pressing is as heavy and silent as my thoughts staring out into the forest on a moonless night.....

@ScoJo: i have a odd Hong Kong pirate pressing of Fistful of Dollars from the 70s. it has a funny cartoon style cover that i have never seen anywhere else. will try to dig that one out...

@million - I would love to see this bootleg LP.

@Bez - Great run. I actually do not own very many Japanese versions of western scores. I try to pick up what I can, but many of them tend to go for high prices if you an even find them. I believe the Morricone Man With No Name trilogy LP's are probably the most widely available.

@ScoJo & deafmetal: found it today and since i have never paid attention to it and never even listened to the record it made me seriously laugh. first of all it is not Fistful of Dollar but For A Few Dollars More...and actually it is not even that...it is For A Few Dollors More, haha! [mental note: going to change my name to milliondollors now]

the thing that surprised me the most is that it's not a bootleg version of the original Morricone score which i was always thinking it to be. these are odd cover versions of some of the original cues. played by a mentally wild asian band in a surf beat psych garage style. they have even added the wordless vocals from the original compositions and it sounds so funny. unfortunately there is only a few covers and the rest is covers of other tunes but they are also quite great. in rare Stereomono, too. haha! seriously outlandish record. possibly rare...
