Bought this thinking it was a simple ost lp with maybe English title music.
Turned out being a box set (of one lp) plus poster and 30 page booklet, which contains a bilingual script to the English narrated dramatisation found on the LP. Still a Japanese release though, some brilliant SFX and bgm complement the story.

Dominion Tank Police LB28-5071

So the English dub of this Anime decided these songs weren't right and re-did the OST, what were they thinking! the whole lp is a mixed bag but there is some great stuff here.

Here is a clip of Hey Boy in a classic scene from the anime,the ending is the best part for me.

The free poster that came with this LP is IMO a classic piece 80's anime iconography (I'm not a furry by the way :D)

Next up another terrorvision release to get lost in. It was worth the wait.

Lyrics for the opening theme are truly inspired

"Two piggies were eaten, before they were beaten.
Down the chimney the Wolf was hardboiled"

No need to torture yourself, except for the shipping costs ;P

@bez

Cool, keen to see how these handpours differ. My copy is a translucent yellow with a kind of multicolour haze, sounds great.

@Mateo

Glad to be of service, it's a beautiful all-round package. The funky drumbreak running through 'a drill missile hits the yamato' is one of many highlights.

@Dollarhyde - Excellent collection, as always. I am a long-time fan of Masamune Shirow's artwork, and it's one of the reasons I was bummed to learn that my copy of Black Magic M-66 is missing the fold-out poster. ;)

That's what I love about these anime lps, beautiful to listen to, and to look at.

You know you can sometimes pick up the posters separate to the lps.
I've had to do this for my copy of "Bubblegum Crisis 2 Born to Kill"

Next Spin.

Killing Spree by Perry Monroe
Terrorvision TV004

Maybe my favourite TV release, although there is also Basket Case.

@static - I was reading the liner notes, and did not realize this was the first animated film scored by Goldsmith. Very nostalgic listen. I watched it so many times when I was a kid.

@Dollar: i envy you for your japanese anime scores!

some years ago i visited a collector in Honk Kong and he has offered ma a big pile of these for peanuts. i was really not into that type of thing back then and have passed on them but today somehow i regret it. going there again in october so let' see what he has still...
