Exactly so.

It's been very hot for this area the last week or so and smoke from the two big BC fires is spilling across the Strait of Juan de Fuca and into our South Sound sky. At sunset (around 2140 or so), it is cooler outside than in and last night I put a Cerwin Vega in the back doorway and watched a neon blood orange Sun set in the murky, hazy sky while spinning To Live and Die in LA. Then, after it got dark, and before it was too late for my neighbors to kvetch, you best believe I serenaded the 'hood with The Chase from Midnight Run in its entirety at a meaningful volume. Then I scampered inside to hide out.

PS - Taken down the hill from our house a couple of nights back:

@mateo damn that's a lovely view. I can imagine that as you were giving the neighborhood a taste in their ear holes all the time your clothes dryer was spinning full of fake bills and poker chips.

Ha! Nailed it. The Puget Sound is a stunning place to live in my humble estimation and, while those are not views from my abode, it is only a few minutes away by foot. Pretty lucky. I don't know if the smoke in the sky is really coming across in my pics so I'll post a few from an eye in the sky of Seattle to maybe give a better idea of how surreal everything looks right now. for reference it is normally crystal clear here in the Summer and our air quality is amazing. Really feeling for folks with respiratory issues right now. Plus the near 100ºF heat.

You're painting one heck of a picture there brother. Smog = terrible for humans, great for cinematic sunsets.
Sad but true. I'm trying to have some meaningful adventures with these Cerwins lately. In part to justify their usefulness to my lovey, yet skeptical, wife and in part as an insurance policy/last hurrah in case I cannot do so.

Solid, Nathan! I haven't checked out Watchdogs yet, but the other two are golden.

Did you miss it when it was released Mateo ? Or just never got around to checking it out ? It's the first Brian Reitzell score that I bought, along with his Red Faction soundtrack, when I discovered him. I think he's really great and unique. His score for Watchdogs went as low as 12$CAD on amazon for a time. It's not too far from what Cliff Martinez does.

No, I didn't miss it, but I don't really dabble with VG scores unless I'm already a fan of the composer or I get led to it on a recommend (usually on STBC). Your Martinez comparison is lofty praise form my perspective so I'll give it a shot!

@Mateo - The smoke has been down here in Portland as well, along with the staggering, dry heat. I got into my ride after work on Thursday and the temp gauge was 114F in the sun. The city felt surreal, almost slightly dystopian. The moon has been orange in the south as well. Strange days.

Yeah, Deaf, you guys are baking down there. Unreal temps out of Bridgetown. Wild that the smoke has made it down your way. I was meant to visit a chum in Hillsboro yesterday, but opted to stay up here where it was just in the mid 90s and educate my neighbors instead.
