@mateo - rant redacted?? Ahh damnit. I agreed with most of it too.

However - fuck I have always loved this film and score, and just couldn't pass this up. Thankfully managed to scrape together funds (very poorly timed release for my finances!) so bagged n tagged. I might have to also grab the less-limited soundtrack from Real Gone when further funds permit. Artwork on both releases is pretty shonk, especially the soundtrack. Ugh.

I think we're spoiled, y'know.

Yeah, I thought better of it and pulled it down. I want to encourage the acquisition and sale of scores like this, but I'm blown away by the misunderstanding by labels of how to handle their own releases. There are plenty of releases that I could make similar complaints about, but whatever. Caring more than they do has become exhausting. Life's too short. This score is incredible. I'm glad it's available. I may even swallow my bile and buy a copy.

Don't fret amigo - I'll hand-make you a boss-as-fuck sleeve. It won't have any naff cartoon drawings of the cast anywhere on it. Or splattery 'authentic hand drawn' fonts. I got you covered.

This. This is what I want from DWRC.

PS - I sure didn't see this. Thanks, Spun.

More Instagram news.... two Fabio Frizzi 7-inches incoming from Ship to Shore...

Seems to be a bit of a run on 'new Frizzi' 7-inches lately, what with the 7-inch with the Eibon Zombi comic and the split single with Anima Morte ...and then whatever the forthcoming Cadabra release is.

Exciting times for Frizziphiles - only sad that I guess this means he isn't playing London around Halloween this year (we were very spoilt with both Carpenter and Frizzi for the witching season last year)

Seems like an appropriate moment to say that I love The Beyond (both the film and, of course, the score) and that the Mondo LP is one of my very favorites the label has ever produced.

PS - Congrats to all you die hard Frizzers out there; it's an exciting time.

Indeed, and more local news on that coming soon....

All those Death Waltz LP's look fantastic, btw.

Had wanted that mondo release for so long, everything about it seemed right on point and it was such an interesting choice for them when you think of a. How early in the ost game it was for them, and that it was well before they merged with DW.

Needless to say, after never being able to pull the trigger on it I was ecstatic when DW and Mondo did the repress at mondocon, what an soundtrack, what a flick...

My appreciation keeps growing with every listen and viewing. It seems like the stars aligned on that original Fulci project to create something truly ungodly, which inspired Frizzi's bizarrely beautiful music. I still prefer the original LP tracklist, even compared to the expanded CD on Beat Records. I have to say that the Composer's Cut seemed to take the experience to whole new level when seen with the film.

I bought this with The Quickening.

PS - Why blue wax? I promise not to go on a tirade about colors (yet), but I would have thought some combo of red, white, and/or "chrome" would've been the obvious choice(s).

PPS - Excellent heads up, Tron!

Terrortron has a new LP out soon: Orgy of the Vampires. Bandcamp link

On a different note and since we buy a lot of similar new releases, did anyone get a shipment email from a David Gibson today, and there is no email contact or message as to what the shipment is? I don't have that name in a previous email, so I'm just curious as to what might be coming my way.

I also just got an email from David Gibson with no idea as to what this is. Checked that the Terrortron : Hexed & Necrophiliac Among the Living Dead LP was due to start shipping last week, so I did a search - pure destructive records david Gibson - and voila!
