This is a varese sarabande press from '85. I think there was a US pressing about ten years earlier. Got this one for a dollar from the Dallas public library. Nice score, definitely worth picking up if you see a cheap copy.

Nice spins BPW. That looks like a fine way to draw the curtain on a Summer weekend.

Et bon anniversaire, EFNY!!

@deaf -

Thanks a lot - I now appear, compelled beyond my rational will, to be buying two Italian releases of EFNY/related material. Doy!!!

Thing with my EFNY collection is, with exception of the TER and Varese originals, each version I have purchased has different/unique music content. The TER was the first OST I ever bought, way back in 1982ish I guess, and even though the the Varese has same tracklisting I just finally had to cave and get it since, y'know....The Varese Odyssey ;)

So there IS method in my madness!

@ScoJo - Apologies for the lean-in there, but how about that Italian poster art?

I dig the cartoony look quite a lot. I was tempted to land one of these myself to try and get JC to sign, but waited too long on the decision.

Hi Scojo,

How does the remake on Sacred Bones play,is it a good version that gets played a lot?

@Vi-res

I really like the new versions of all the classic themes - it's a kick to hear JC revisiting them with new gear/his excellent touring band. Check out the cool EFNY video promo that Sacred Bones put out if you need convincing :)

ScoJo wrote:Oh...plus they sound great (on black wax), are reasonably priced and Jay Shaw's sleeves are quite lovely. I play Assault/EFNY the most.
Oh great I will get them if still available.

For what it's worth, Vi, I think they sound great, too. And I play them both pretty often, but I skew Assault/EFNY as well. They make lovely companion pieces to the Lost Themes records.
