Yep, got some from a local record store. You don't see these often... but the Bosworth is a bit shit. I went and trusted Mr. Trunk in his ability to coax a track from there onto his 90's Bosworths comp. " Turkish Delight".

I'm listening to mr Sauvage and I like it, his classic satanic worship. Not the Univers 2000 kind of GOOD though. It seems copyed alot of the drumfills and drum breaks onto this Music Label record, as his usual style of playing. Nice eastern vibes, "Petrolissimo". EDIT. some filler tracks, and a bit shit cues.

Got a favorite Sciascia as second hand! yes! Been waiting for this. I like Sciascia's style of artistry, his doomy experimental avant goodyness. Check out Dialletrico or Circuito Chiuso. Hard core experimental library vibes. Classic. Fabio Fabor and Sciascia seemed to share a studio in Milan, I think. They were madmen experimenting, ripping the studio to pieces to get that sound that they wanted -
Studio G is nice when I previewed it. Ambient scary stuff. I recommend. Haven't played it yet completely. Nice cover.
Daniel white was so cheap that I just grabbed those, he makes some cool stuff on Musique Pour L'image right? right guys?

The record store guy who sold me these always seems to haul the best stuff from somewhere for cheap - he got this big library heap from an antique store for very cheap. He got alot of selected sound too but they were immediately bought when he brought them in his record store. He got some Gerhard trede and classic Roland Kovac stuff. It' also fun going to his record store and having interesting discussions about music or records or more often libraries. It's nice, sometimes I go there just to talk.

I quess people gotta go everyday hunting around town and find these heaps of records some people seems always to get first. Well there's Discogs but theres the thrill hunting these libraries and what have you. Another day.

I like this that there's more rare records going around my town and "library music" seems to be living in here now. How about you guys?

@Steve: nice to see people finding libraries in the wild still! also nice write up. the area where i live has 2-3 shops with libraries only. unfortunately the record store owner of the one with the best/biggest section is the meanest bastard i ever came across in my record collecting life, haha! he will not answer any questions, he will never allow to play you a record and don't you ever dare to ask for a fu**ing discount when purchasing a nice bundle!

that Sciascia record is nice. him and Fabor are big favourites of mine. they made music that was ahear of their time. straight sound inovators if you ask me...

from all those african music influenced libraries this is one of the best. at least for me. absolutely underrated and obscure. so unpredictable! this is one of the reasons why i love library music. get it when you see one...

another De Filippi father and son collaboration under the Marcabru pseudonym. this qualifies as a (almost-) keeper because it has the beautiful driving harpsichord tune Stelle In Terra. in my opinion this is one of the best examples that represents the italian golden age library sound. cover is simple but beautiful.

of course Stelle In Terra stands out but there are some other good tracks on the record but for me it is everything but solid. De Filippi fans call it a masterpiece but i don't know why, haha!

Million I've been chasing this one for a while. The only copy I found was one of "those" sellers I've never struck a deal with (it rhymes with "Foley" wax!) because the asking prices are always batshit insane. For this he wanted not a penny less than €450, just crazy

just realized that i have two copies of this Octopus. will let one go if anybody might be interested in a trade. absolutely stunning work by Rino De Filippi. this one is really good. playful, haunting, mystical, magical! musically one of the best De Filippi records. take a strange trip through the mysterious nature of the world of fables...

this has been reissued recently. highly recommended!

this is another case of italian composers dreaming and fantasizing of american lifestyles, haha! from the covers of these records, the composers tried to create the urban metropolitan sound. for me it's Alessandroni and De Filippi at their peak. very consistent listetnig. some kind people have ripped the whole albums...

Lampront Group - A Week In San Francisco. Also the Week In New York LP (under name Porsche Group although surely the same guys) although that one is less funky. The San Francisco record is absolutely killer funky stuff, one of my favorites, not a bad track on the whole record.

Also potentials:

Rizzati "Park Avenue" with tracks like Above the Skyscraper, Central Park, A Step Away From Lincoln Center and On A Pan Am Flight

"Sophisticated" (Brugnolini, Seschi) with tracks like Plastic Girl, Electra Glide, USA, and Stars of Arizona

Accade A has tracks for Vegas, Boston and Harlem.

But these three records are not entirely dedicated to American themes, so maybe they don't count :)
