I'll be up for that @mateo. I was reading about it a few days ago, and something that was mentioned is that there's a flashback within a flashback within a flashback within a flashback. That's Inception on Mars!

I bought this primarily for the Abbey Road DVD that was previously available in the Hateful Eight box. It's a nice comp though, especially if you're just looking for 'the hits' conducted by the Maestro.

@chief - I was checking that out, along with his new book. Looks very interesting for a Morricone fan and collector. Jealous of those who could attend concerts as well!

Revisiting Akira today:

I don't own any of the bootleg LP's, but I have been picking up CD releases over the years:

Very excited about the upcoming official Milan release of the symphonic suite album.

I'm actually listening to this on the Beat twofer but the cover on that is for Un Esercito Di 5 Uomini. There's much to enjoy in both scores.

Explosions in the Sky - Friday Night Lights (no image). A recent pick up. I enjoyed the film and the TV show (sure, it was a bit Dawsons Creek, but Coach Taylor is 'The Man'). The score is really good, I can see why Berg uses them so often.

Roberto Pregadio & Romano Mussolini – Satanik (no image).

I really like this one. There's some variety throughout, some orchestral, some jazzy. It's a RSD release, isn't it (Dagored, maybe)?

I've only listened to this a couple of times, and not in a long time. Always enjoy Steve Moore/Zombi's stuff though.

@chief

Cub is great! I overlooked it a little at the time of release but it has steadily been garnering more of my attention. Maybe my favourite Steve Moore project? although it's been a while since I spun "the guest".

I'm with you on that @dollar. It came at a time I had a backlog (which is pretty much all the time), so I moved on from it quite quickly. I think at the time I played Shape Shift more, but I'll try and keep Cub in rotation. Sometimes being a bit cash-deficient can be good for re-discovery, and finding out you have hundreds of hours of great music you've either not played or barely played.

Alessandro Alessandroni – Suor Omicidi / Lo Strangolatore Di Vienna / Lady Frankenstein

I've been listening to Killer Nun quite a lot this week.

Agreed, on all counts. I still need to give killer nun a proper listen. :0
I find not having a digital copy can make it particularly difficult to get my teeth into score. As work and commuting give me very little time to spin wax.

Also osts on the go can be a great way to experience a score. For example Cub properly hit me one late night on a long commute home complicated by rail replacement buses and late running trains in cold windy weather.

It's funny the ways and times at which OSTs - and music in general - 'click'.

Sorry for calling you @deaf - that's predictive text for you. Does it mean you gave a problem when your phone predicts STBC members when you type @?

For the record, I was playing Black Carbon by Timothy Fife, but I would flood this thread with images of the cover, and that of Turbo Kid, if I told you every time I listened to them!

Now listening to this. I can't 100% get to love this, but i think it might have something to do with listening to it digitally more than on vinyl - the digital has the cassette bonus tracks on it, and I think it might be 'too much'. I'm going to stop at the end of the vinyl version today.

Vi-Res Static Interference. Probably my favourite Vi-Res. Probably. The title track is so good.

Not listening to one of these beauties, but couldn't find an image I could use of the cover.
