@milliondollars

I'm sure there are a lot of gems in the Themes catalogue, maybe a lot of the labels other releases are over shadowed by drama suites 1 and 2, and the voice/sound of soul lps.

Also nice going on the Giordano lps!

@Dollar: you are right! definitely many of the Themes are over shadowed by the ones you mentioned. while i never understood the buzz arround Voice/Sound Of Soul i must confess that Drama Suite are amongst the best british libraries ever made. some will think, with all these short cues they become unlistenable but it is absolutely not the case. the tension being build by the links is incredible. with your eyes closed listening to this you see one of the biggest crime movies [n/]ever made. these suites are a must. a 2LP reissue is due...

these two are by far my favourite releases on the mythical Leo label. for me straight masterpieces of art and i count them to the best library records ever made. damn, what were they thinking?

the music so incredible and the bright colours on the simply designed covers so beautiful that i decided to share these pictures for certain visual record collector porn reasons...

spinned this one to death over the weekend. even my kids became kind of interested in it, haha! can't believe this has not been reissued yet. there seems to be a strong musical connection between Meccanizzazione and Alessandroni's Ritmo Dell'Industria N°2.

just found out 4 tunes from this album appear on De Filippi's Ritmicolor.

Great news!!! Open Air Parade, Rebus and Miscellanea are big wants for me. Plus a couple of the intermezzi that have proven elusive like Ye Ye Beat and Sviluppo Industriale.

i have talked to the son of the SR Sermi owner about 2-3 years ago and he told my they plan to reissue the whole catalogue. don't see the need to do that which is what i have told him. there's some good and sought after titles that folks look for but there is no need to do the whole catalogue. just my opinon.

only thing i care for is unreleased, new stuff...

in deep sorrow for the loss of a great composer/musician/personality...

...the dark(/est) side of Alessandroni aka bitter sweet octopus salad.

these two from the Octopus catalogue are so creepy! the one has been (partly?) reissued by Finders Keepers but the other one is still quite unknown i think. dark avant-garde psychedelics with outstanding guitar work by the master himself. for me this one sounds almost like Drammatico vol.2

this Sorgini is great and would make a great reissue. so (un/)funky, so strange, so experimental, so complex, so good...

the B side either compiles some tunes from three other italian libraries or they took these tunes to use them for these particular ones (Musica Da Ballo on Meridiana, Ballate Con Noi N.1 on Leonardi and Natura E Musica N. 7 on Grand Prix). hard to tell as none of them tell the year of release.

it is one of those where you (or your ears?) discover something new you every time you play it.
