I really like it. Haven't seen the film yet, but the score is excellent. Release is well done with reverse board jacket, uv spot varnish accents and kind of a brown/red mix color vinyl. Cut at 45rpm. I really need to see the movie, maybe I'll go by myself this weekend.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra is performing this music September 1-2 while the movie screens. Just got tickets. The Meyerson is one of the very best concert halls in the world.

Awesome, thanks! I haven't seen the film either but the score works really well as a stand alone piece... looking forward to seeing it soon and getting the vinyl (got my shipping notification!)

@mateo I do enjoy my Richard Band, and muh Vangelis. And yes after BR on vinyl I did do this :)

Sure it's not Proper Vangelis but it is a great listen :)

Happy to report that the white-within-blue vinyl version included with the deluxe 'Trapped in Ice' package sounds pretty damn great. After my woes with the standard white vinyl version I'm thrilled to have bit the bullet and ordered this, expensive though it surely was with shipping to the UK :-/

Just about to dig into those extra liner notes....

@static -

True story (stop me if you've heard it)....

Short version - I got married in New Zealand in 1990, wearing Mel Gibson's costume from The Bounty, as well as Anthony Hopkins three-cornered hat. Also had sword, but was dissuaded from carrying down the isle/cutting the cake with it by the more timid family element. Wish I could back up with photo evidence but me ex got custody of the album! Honest-to-god true though.
