Nice! I also see Musique Pour Le Futur by Nino Nardini on their bandcamp page.

I do still wonder when we are going to see those Zombi 3 records....... been awhile on those

Through the Looking Glass showed up recently, and the 45rpm in the stoughton gatefold looks and sounds fantastic. Pricey but worth it, for me.

Glad to hear, as I'm looking forward to checking that out. Also, great to finally see an official GitS release.

I was a little on the fence with wrwtfww, as their earlier library reissues (Umiliani) felt a little like cash grabs and there were criticisms on the sound quality on
discogs. All presumption on my part as I've not heard or owned any of their previous releases.

However, 'through the looking glass' is my first wrwtfww purchase, the 45 double lp, and I can second @texas' commendations beautiful sound and beautiful packaging.
Can't wait for GITS!

I also love using the acronym GITS! :D

If you don't know about SFFS then you should be spanked on the bottom. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Christopher Ashleys killer electronic project. There are many releases that each represent a milestone in the evolution of the project.

UP NOW! Just ordered the LP bundle :)

Same here, Craiged, but tapes for me. Great prices on the SFFS stuff as usual. Nice surprise coming home from work and seeing it up in the Foreign Envy store already.

The SFFS bundle sold out in a few minutes. However, you can still buy the vinyl separately. It'll cost you an extra $5, but since the bundle is sold out, that's what you got. I had to do that, too.

Minutes? It had been available for several hours. :)

Funnily enough, I was just talking about this the other day in the "Now watching" thread as I just watched the original movie and really liked the soundtrack. Went searching only to find there was never an official vinyl release, so this is a definite must-buy for me...

Really? Grr. I got a marketing email at 8:51 am from Foreign Sounds for the release. I went at 9 am, and the bundle was gone.

Oof $59 shipped for the version with the 7". Oh well, I want to upgrade the boot copy I have. Also I got a note from the label saying zombi 3 should be coming soon!

Yeah, expensive heh ? But I wentnfor it, not for the extra 7", mostly for the booklet.

thanks for the Zombi3 info, I'll keep a closer look on their website from now on

The GitS bonus 7" only has a Cantonese pop song that plays during the market chase scene in the film, so I would not consider it essential unless you are a completist. That said, I feel the booklet and deluxe sleeve + obi make the overall package very attractive. Total cost with shipping is brutal to North America, but for a long-desired official release like this, I had to spring for it. I will be very happy to retire my bootleg copy, which is plagued with surface noise. I remember buying this soundtrack on CD back in the 90's, so it's very satisfying to finally see an official vinyl release.

I have to admit being surprised to see this arrive from WRWTFF, as I would have expected Tiger Lab or Milan to land this title.

I honestly though of WRWTFWW to be along the same lines as those chumps Fifth Dimension, but the Midori release and now this must mean some magic is going on somewhere.

That GITS will be distributed by a ton of places, so if you don't want to pay crazy shipping to get that to NA, you should hold tight. WRWTFWW is distributed by a ton of places in the UK and NA, so getting their releases has never been a problem. Forced Exposure and LITA have their stuff in NA, as well as other places.

I've also never had any sort of "sound issues" with their releases, including older ones like Umiliani and Pieces. I do get a bit concerned about the gimmick factor with them, though. Like the Takada (which I'm sill waiting on) coming as this much more expensive "audiophile edition" and the 'Amer' having the lock grooves and whatnot.

Still, overall, I'm into what they have been doing and have picked up most of their releases.

Oh and the new GITS soundtrack is HORRIBLE.

I did end up buying it. I hadn't even considered it to be an April Fool's joke, as I remember them posting the vinyl photo earlier. The purchasing happened just like the other releases that I've bought on their site.

Yes it is 100% legit. Licensed from TER/Jay Records. I have been working with John Yap, the executive producer on the soundtrack. :)

Cheers!
