I can't spin vinyl weeknights so my temporary CD changer is loaded for background music as I revisit another 80's horror novel from Michael McDowell. If you've never read one of his novels check them out on Amazon and treat yourself to one.
As a side note, every one of these CDs needs a vinyl release.

This takes me back to RSD 15 (it was 15, wasn't it?). I had a massive blowout that year. I only recently picked up In The Wall, and noticed this was listed on the OBI as coming soon - presumably this was originally not meant to be a RSD release? It's strange that this is still available after all this time and pretty cheap. Worth picking up if you've not got it.

Double dipped by getting this on CD yesterday.

I really enjoy this score. I'd say it wears its Carpenter influences proudly on its sleeve. A fun listen.

I always forget about that Annie Lennox song at the end of the Dracula score. I'm not sure if works, being tacked on at the end.

Doubling up on Lunaris plays today.

Interesting release this one. Dirge-like soundscapes giving way to beatiful melodic pieces, interrupted by the occasional blast of industrial guitar. Don't know if it can still be picked up, but it had 2LPs, a CD and 2 DVDs, if I remember right.

I only just picked up Ghosts of Mars (no image). I've seen the film a few times, and probably over-rated it in my head for a long time as it was only the second JC I was able to see in the cinema (Vampires the first). I thought the tracks would bring back a lot of scenes from the film, but it didn't particularly. It's a good listen all the same. It doesn't sound as obviously a score, and there's some similarity with Wolfcop there too.

I think Ghosts of Mars should be our next STBC group viewing. Dead serious.
