They like power. They're 4 Ohm. I'm driving them with 160w per channel at 4 Ohm.

That being said i've heard of folks driving with with far less (and far more) and having good results.

As far as placement they like to be about 3 feet from the wall behind them and toed in toward your listening position.
Thanks for the info. I've wanted a pair for a while. I can afford the rear space but not so much on the sides. I'll keep an eye out for a used pair. My amp has preouts so I could add an amplifier in the future.

Bez, love the setup. Jealous.

Mateo Sanboval wrote:Bez, those pics of your setup are awesome. Is that new listening room in the same house or did you move?
It is in the same house. The first pictures are my living room. The new set are in a newly renovated room in the attic. It become the master bedroom with a sitting corner. I wanted to place the new set in the living room but did not have the space for the speakers :-)
Last night we sat in bed while I was listening to Italian scores and my girl was on her phone messaging. It was lovely.

Because I am not on any other social media than this place I do love to post pictures of this stuff. I feel very fortunate to be able to live where I live with this magnificent stuff. It wouldn't be possible without my girl. (=show off disclaimer)

*thumbs up* :)

Speaking of our better halves... had an interesting 'eureka' moment with mine the other day. I was playing Goldsmith's 'The Swarm' ost while she was still in bed, and she sat up and, all excited, asked 'what's this?? it's amazing!' I spent the next hour or so spinning her more Goldsmith, to her delight. (Which somehow, after evolving into chat about 80s film music, lead us to listen to James Horner's 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' score on Youtube which was her fave film as a kid, wherein she called it out for ripping off Raymond Scott's 'Rollercoaster', and I noticed how much it stole from Elfman's 'Pee Wee's Big Adventure'!! Thats s a thing, right? Everyone is onto that yeah?)

All in all, with the world going straight to fucking shit around us all...not a bad morning.

Hmm, apparently it's been awhile since I inserted an image. How does that work? When I choose Insert image and write the imgur URL in between it doesn't seem to work.

Hey Chandler, you need to add the letter "l" (for a large image) or "m" (for a medium sized image) at the end (so before ".jpg" if that is part of the image link).

I love B&O (and not just because it's Danish!). Both old and new. Beautiful design and great sound. I recently bought the Beoplay A9 speaker which is the most I have ever paid for a piece of hifi. I bought it because it looks and sounds great and I needed a streaming solution for all the CD tracks I have uploaded to the sky (16,000 or so).

I think I might have already posted my other equipment in this thread, but it consists of a NAD turntable C555i + NAD amp and CD player.

That A9 is dead lovely, Chandler. How do you like your NAD amp?

In all my adult life I have only had NAD.

My dad had it and even my grandparents had it. Before my current setup I "inherited" my grandparent's NAD amp. It's just really solid equipment that (I think) will easily last 20+ years.

Chandler, what NAD amp and cd player do you have (cannot see it in the photo)? Have the C355 BEE amp and the c545 BEE cd player myself. My first NADs, and I like them a lot. Must have bought them about six years ago.

I've been looking at the NAD D 3020 and the NAD D 7050. A couple of pretty impressive integrated amps.

@ Chandler
Great set-up. I also like NAD a lot. My girlfriends previous set was all NAD with Dali speakers. Now I am still using her NAD cd player.
