Scored a Japanese pressing from spencer a few years back, but would be interested to see if they do anything interesting for the new pressing

This rare piece of ex-yu socialist electronica was considered lost. Composed by famed Croatian artist Tomislav Simovic for the 1981 sci-fi extravaganza Visitors from the Galaxy which included men with breasts, beautiful alien heroine and Jan Svankmajer monster on killing spree, it is now found and published by Fox & His Friends label team. This gatefold limited LP release on 180g vinyl includes soundtrack cut from the original master tapes restored by Paul Alexander from Cedar Audio Ltd., extensive liner notes in English by Zeljko Luketic and Irena Paulus, new artwork insert spread with film set photographs and colour poster starring alien heroine Andra. Fox & His Friends is run by Leri Ahel (worldwide syndicated Mutant Disco Radio Show) and Zeljko Luketic (Electronic Jugoton, Ex Yu Electronica III, Borderline Music). We release music without genre boundaries, discover rare, obscure and forgotten stuff, the sounds that have timeless value, both contemporary and vintage.

You can stream the soundtrack online: https://clone.nl/item43821.html
Thanks phantomnoir. :) Out March 01st. 180 g, gatefold, insert / poster ... This is what the record looks like.

Same here. I don't have the Japanese one though (only on my wishlist ;) ). Will wait til May (or whenever they announce more details) and then decide.

Welcome aboard @Fox!

Oh, and....I am SO all over your record. I discovered the film last year, quite groovy - but that music! Kinda put me into a weird trance at times, great choice of first release. Thumbs way up!

Thanks guys. :)
@ScoJo: The film is not considered to be Dusan Vukotic's best but it has a cult status here and it is easily labeled trash but that's debatable. :) Sci fi, horror, comedy with nudist welcoming extra-terrestrials, man with breast breastfeeding baby, monster on a killing spree. It has something for everyone. :)
"Visitors from the Galaxy" master tapes were sort of an urban legend. It took us 2 years to get things right on this release and that included some serious detective work to try to locate the right owners.
When you listen to the soundtrack without watching a film first you would probably get the wrong idea what the film is like.
btw. If there are people from an area we are doing 2 free promotional screenings in Rijeka/Croatia on March 17th with some film actors as guests and after party and similar event in Zagreb early April.

You can expect some more Tomislav Simovic scores from us in the future too. At least one more in 2017. He did some brilliant stuff for animated and feature films. A shame none of it was released before, while he was still alive.

Fox, will your releases have US distribution?

We went with Clone worldwide exclusive for the "Visitors from the Galaxy" but we will definitely try to sort US distribution and we will probably use more distributions in the future. It is also available from our Big Cartel. Hope some US shops will get it from Clone distribution too. We tried to sort US distribution for our first release too but are still trying to figure out how to cut on the shipping costs to make it work and to have reasonable price in US and worldwide shops.
We will occasionally do some releases like our third or forth one NEP feat. Anja Rupel (Videosex), unreleased 80's demo stuff, that will probably be available only from us. NEP is our friend Dejan Krsic who is a graphic designer here in Croatia and he is going to do something special for his release. Something we call audio visual map. :) We still have to see what he will do with it. Pressing will be done in Germany as usual and special box/artwork in Croatia. With this kind of release it would have to be either quite expensive or we need to sell it ourselves if we don't want to loose money.
Next one, out in late May, is ex Yugoslavian disco compilation "Socialist disco" which is part of an exhibition my partner Zeljko curated in Croatia.

And it's probably safe to say even if didn't put all the things on paper. One of our next releases will be joint release with Dark entries "Synth Yugoslavia". Out hopefully before summer 2017. or early Autumn.

Sorry about that. I'm not sure why it doesn't work. It should work with both PayPal and credit card. We will sort it ASAP today. btw. We were expecting records yesterday/today (Friday/Saturday) but they should be here by Monday 27th of March.
Thanks for your support. :)

Hey Fox. I'm very excited about your release(s) as well. When I try to checkout, only PayPal shows up which is no good for me. I need to use credit card instead :/

@NMA: Hope you'll enjoy them. :)

It's seems it's temporarily that PayPal is not working on Big Cartel. Sorry but no credit card payment for now there. They use something called Stripe and it's not available in Croatia. :(
Will try to work on a credit card option in the future. I'll keep you in the loop.

Ps.

I'm sure you know Karpo Godina - this is one of my favourite 70s Yugo experimental film/psych tracks :)

Hopefully Big Cartel will sort it soon.
Bandcamp and label Discogs account coming up soon when partner Zeljko is back from well deserved afternoon rest. :)
I think credit cards will be cool there.

I'm familiar with Karpo Godina but I had to check who did the track. :) Brilliant!
If you're into experimental film from ex Yugoslavia, Zeljko (the other half of Fox & his friends) wrote a piece a while ago about GEFF (Genre film festival) experimental film festival in Zagreb (1963-1969) for an architectural magazine here in Croatia.
Piece is in english. He is speaking at a conference in Cambridge at the end of March about it. btw. You can expect some film and other topic books from us in the future. :)
