Hear hear to both counts.

I just got my copy of Moomins today as well and totally agree. It's pretty damn great!

In FK's mailout today, they said they sold out of the first run, but more should be arriving by April in time for RSD.

@ScoJo - From three pages back... thank you for the Carter Burwell info and video! Great taste, as always. ;)
@Spun - Jackie sounds like a must-hear. Have you seen the film?
@static - Can't wait for my copy of TP:FWWM to arrive. I always seem to receive Mondo/DW titles last up here in the PacNW.

Although I have been enjoying a test pressing of Troll 2 for a while, the production release is a real treat:

Stonehenge Nebula version sounding excellent, and without any obvious surface noise.

I think Deaf (and maybe someone else?) shared this in here a while back. Intrigued, I listened to a couple of samples and, liking what I heard, set myself to finding a copy. Most of what I came across was a bit pricey, but then I stumbled across this copy on ebay for $7. The sleeve is scuffed, but structurally sound, and the wax is clean as a whistle. Image

@Mateo - I think it was @ScoJo or @static that posted that one. How is it?

This one is way too good:

Spaced-out horror fuzz? So rad. Sounds like Philip Glass conducting a psych band.

I spun my copy of that a few weeks back. I've never seen the documentary but it's definitely nice music.

Shit. My bad, lads. It's a lovely score and one I'd never spared a second thought (or a first for that matter!) if not for STBC. Chin chin!

I can't seem to post a photo from my camera phone (too big, don't know how to compress), so here's the stock photo. I'm listening to 'The Cynic...'.

Cheers Mateo. However (maybe I'm being short-sighted) I think my issue the size. I don't know how to make it smaller without changing the camera settings, which I lazily don't want to do, in case I then forget to change back, and capture a life moment that ends up looking like an 8-bit video game! I can't see anything in the thread about compression?

My trick is to edit the picture on my phone. For instance use the crop function and trim a bit of the edged. The image that remains is usually much smaller.
The other way is to use an app like imgur to upload your picture to imgur and copy the link from there.

@ mateo
I'll spin the Spettro releases today and give my opinion. I do not have OG copies to compare. I do have an Easy Tempo release to compare with. I'll see that later on.

The first thing I notice is that the highs sounds very sharp. I do not mean sharp in a good way. A bit like the feeling yet get when chalk screeches on a board. However it can be that my needle needs replacing. I am no audiophile at all.
I'll try a different deck later on.

I played the first song for side A on my other table with inferior stylus and receiver but it also sounds a tad too sharp. At least it means my B&O cartridge is still ok :-)

Let's compare the Easy Tempo with the Spettro release of La Morte Accarezza a mezzanotte.
(one of the best giallo scores in my book - Gianni Ferrio is a genius)
