Yep, that one looks like USB with built in pre-amp, so you could go straight from a turntable to the PC without a preamp, phono receiver or mixer in between.

I think some sound cards have RCA inputs built in. Mine didn't so I needed an interface like this. Some turntables may have USB built in? Who knows.

Chief, Tex, Bez, you guys have all assuaged my concerns a fair bit. Gracias. I think with just a few more months of intense meditation, I, too, could be ready to begin thinking about maybe someday ripping my own vinyl to digital. Perhaps.

Top spins @Static - happy birthday Mr Goldsmith!

Here's my modest collection (with still SO many on the wantslist....I mean, no Rambo III?? Don't judge me!)

If you are a Morricone fan I highly recommend this score. Everything you love about the man is in this score. This is an original Cerberus Records release but it is being re-issued on blue vinyl for record store day. Twoheadeddog has it up for pre-order under the title BARBABLU. You can also listen to it on spotify.

This has become a new favorite of mine every since Scojo through this at me and I missed it on the Vinyl Score. That was a good time.

[quote="ScoJo"]@Tim - good times!

Love this one.....

@Scojo, believe it or not I am just now adding Logan's Run to the collection. Not officially added yet but it's ordered.

Ah yeah my Goldsmith collection is also less extensive than you guys but it's pretty decent anyway, with 16 of his scores. If I wasn't working right now I'd be spinning some of them. Probably Alien or The Wind and the Lion, but just last week I was revisiting the Cassandra Crossing and Psycho II, and they're both good. I think Cassandra Crossing might be an overlooked but solid release.
