@texas - Agreed, which is why I said I use the dubs for shows that are " in-between quiet/too loud". I still use full foam plugs for shows that are loud.as.hell. ;)

I went to see Primus a few years back for the Chocolate Factory tour and forgot my ear plugs. We were way up front and it was so loud it felt like my ears were bleeding. I ended up stuffing paper into my ears to try and stop the damage. Awesome show.

Mine was unintentional. I was watching the producer's cut of Halloween 6.

Just happened to snap a pic of Loomis. :)

Yeah it's out of season for sure, but I haven't watched the producers cut since i had a vhs boot, and I found the bluray on sale for $7 so I had to grab it.

Really nice transfer! The producer's Cut is better than the theatrical cut, but that's still not saying much.

Good to hear that movie was always a bit...convoluted.

I don't recall this film poster being used when Hellraiser was in the theaters way back when. Looking forward to the WW drop on this one.

Thanks for the correct info on that one MW. It's tough to keep up with so many great releases coming in the future:)

"I muestly die in the first 30 seconds.....muestly."

Love it! What a brave (failure) to do something very different with the series. I put it right up with Halloween III for exactly the same reasons. And that score!!! :O

Poor Newt :)

Long time lover of Alien 3 both the film and the score. The 2003 "directorishee" cut improves the movie a good deal too.

Fincher (in his best Arnie voice).....

"Conzider yourself....Newtralized!"

Tbh, even though I'm a fan of the film, I do find the autopsy scene to be ...hmmm.... wilfully provocative to fans of the previous film shall we say??

Let's not muck about any further. Let's stop ignoring the elephant in the room. It's brass tacks time, Static. How was The Girl On The Train?

It's a shame the way Newt and Hicks were discarded right at the beginning, but I have to say that Alien 3 is the Alien movie I didn't like at first but have enjoyed more and more after subsequent viewings and after watching the extras and longer cut from the anthology set, while Alien Resurrection is the one I was enjoying at the beginning and have been enjoying less and less over time.

True story: when the producers saw where Fincher was going with Alien Cubed, their reaction was something along the lines of "who gives a crap about all these bald limeys running around in the dark??"

Heh!
