Nice descriptions too: "riveting leitmotifs reprise amidst variations of noir-jazz abstraction"

Good stuff, enjoying the sample track.

And now for something completely different...

"Imagine, if you will, a foreboding homemade electro-acoustic, new age, synth driven, proto-techno, imaginary world music portastudio soundtrack for a polish-made animated fantasy based on a modern finnish folk tale, created for german and austrian tv, composed in 1982 by two politically driven post-punk theatre performers from a shared house in leeds!"

Hope FK have done another felt cover! :)

got this email earlier today:

"Firenze! L'assassino E Ancora Tra Noi"... one of the last big Italian Giallo / Slasher Horror movies.

"Florence! The Killer is still among us" was released in the mid 1980’s. The movie telling the story of a murder series which really happened during that time in Florence. A psycho killer was murdering women and the police had no idea at all who's the person behind the cruel crimes.
The whole case also delivered the idea for Hanibal Lecter and the Silence Of The Lambs movie from 1991.
Detto Mariano produced this wonderful completely unreleased score on the hight of his success when he was also producing stars as for example Adriano Celentano. Dope horror soundtrack songs for the soundtracks collectors and a lot surprising experimental electronics, score and ambient meeting Jazz, Pop, Space Disco,… is what you'll get on all in all 35 amazing songs. A highlight for every horror movie fan. So rare and totally unspent original 1980’s product with beautiful hq cover artwork.
Record 1 continuing our „Film Sonoro“ idea and is mixed down as if you would be „in the movie“. This record includes mostly electronic horror soundtrack music. Record 2 provides audiophile mastered songs and bonus tracks. All songs are remastered by 1970’s/1980’s Spanish major label and cult producer „Josep Llobell“.

A couple of new posts on the Four Flies Soundcloud page. As with Instagram, I cannot sort out how to embed them properly here. If anyone knows how to do so or why we can't, please post or drop me a line. Anyhow, according to the text, these are slated for release on December 5th. The Tommasi/Iacoucci samples sound awesome and the Ortolani score has a couple of really cool tracks that has my interest piqued. Four Flies has consistently released great stuff from the start.
https://soundcloud.com/fourfliesrecords/amedeo-tommasi-h-caiage-carnet-turisticoFrom the legendary DENEB series, one of the grooviest Italian library ever. Amedeo Tommasi and Gerardo Iacoucci (alias H. Caiage) at their best. An explosion of heavy organ sounds, jazz & psych-beat, with killer drumming breaks and mellow tunes.
Highly recommended for dj!

Now again on your turntable one of the rarest and most beautiful soundtracks composed by Riz Ortolani for the crime movie directed in 1971 by Damiano Damiani, with Franco Nero, Martin Balsam and Marilù Tolo.
Extraordinary bass lines, guitar effects and amazing drum breaks for an astonishing mix of different sounds: from tense or dramatic moments to deep and explosive jazz-funk and beat grooves.
A must-have for any SERIOUS ITALIAN SOUND DIGGER!

Oh god, I love all the Italian reissues but fuck, are they coming fast and furious or what? It's like Sonor, Four Flies and Cinedelic are competing to see who can put out the most, plus Dagored, Wah Wah, Cometa, Death Waltz, Schema, Contempo, Spettro, AMS, Roundtable, and others! A good problem to have ;)

Speaking of which... Noticed two more Cinedelic's quietly went up, Morricone Eat This and Reverberi Riti, Magie Nere E Segrete Orge Nel Trecento. And two more on Cometa that I probably mentioned already, a Macchi and a compilation.

Did you guys see the Trainspotting official reissue came out? I did an A/B listen with the bootleg from a while back (which, like Lost Highway boot, was surprisingly well done). But also like LH, this reissue is undoubtedly better-- sound has more depth, and the jacket and labels are printed with silver metallic ink that looks great. Orange vinyl (limited to 1000 I think?) sounds quiet to me, but they pressed black as well.

Tex, the Italian reissues are thick this season. It's crazy. I try to preview as much as I can before I buy, but I must say that in terms of selection and overall quality, Four Flies is bringing home the bacon for me. I have the most confidence in their releases at the moment. But Sonor, Cinedelic, Cometa, Schema, Dagored, et al are also making it very tough for a bro to be a bro right now bro.

Rough Trade has for pre-order a red vinyl version of the upcoming "Iris" soundtrack by A Winged Victory for the Sullen. It's limited to 250 and is more limited than Erased Tapes clear version.

You can pre-order online HERE. If you live in NYC, you can have one set aside at the Rough Trade shop in the city. Rough Trade US doesn't ship, so we US folks who want one will need to order online from the UK. Rough Trade US should start offering online orders in January 2007.

Hello Ladies and Gents -

I follow Vinegar Syndrome, the business that releases a bunch of old adult films on DVD and or blu-ray, as well as a bunch of other cool merchandise from time-to-time. I usually pick up the old horror related films they release.

Vinegar Syndrome's website is currently down for the annual Black Friday bash where they slash prices on a bunch of stuff. I noticed on their posting that it notes, "Two Limited Edition Vinyl Soundtracks" as a feature of the upcoming Black Friday sale. I'm looking forward to finding out what they might be...

Cool !It might be worth picking up the Count Dracula's great love (Paul Nashy) and maybe Night Train to Terror, Demonoid, or Christmas Evil if they have stock of thoses, and of course the soundtracks will most likely be of interest. Thanks for the heads up !
