Uggg should've gone to MondoCon, that record show was a bust!! I don't even think I cleared $400 in ten hours. Oh well, won't be doing that show again.

It wasn't all for naught, I did walk away with one record I've been after for a good while (The Fragile)

Also scored Wavelength OST, Sorcerer, and Thief soundtracks plus an OG of The Omen for $5 each.

The Fragile is on my want list for a while. But prices go for around $300 on discogs and that keeps me from getting it. Incredible record! Enjoy!

@Texas-Nice snag on The Fragile. That's one I missed getting way back when. It's way out of my price range now. Enjoy!

@Tim-I'll be hitting the viewing of The Shining this Wednesday in Apple Valley, MN. It's really great to see theaters playing these old films again. I think we have about four or five theaters in the metro area that are playing the classics on a weekly basis.

Nice. Did not know about that Anna Quel Particolare Piacere . I see it is a new Dagored release. Did not know about the movie either but it has Edwige Fenech... So that is all I need to know :-)

So, how randomly awesome is this? My last spin before heading to MondoCon was Carlo Maria Cordio's Absurd, and then I am greeted at the convention by a new test pressing for his Troll 2 OST!
Image
The test press printed sleeve is dripping with glow-in-the-dark troll slime!

Also, @monsterworship had a preview copy of the production die-cut sleeve and reversible inner sleeve, and it's rad as hell. Wait until you see it. This is a dark and funky 80's gem.

Sometimes you just need to put on this Donny Hathaway album and shake off the funk from the workday!

This isn't vinyl but I'm sure it would be of interest to people on the board.

Edit: Damn phone put the picture sideways.

I usually don't go to Greensboro for my vinyl, I stick to my local shops in Winston Salem but when Hippo Records posted this on Facebook I had to make the trip. Well worth it.
Superb!

@jgibbs, yes, I went last weekend and I picked up Children and Frankenstein, both pictured above, along with Last Embrace (Miklos Rozsa), Transylvania 6-5000(Lee Holdridge) and Angel Heart (Trevor Jones) Frankenstein and Tans 6-5000 were both sealed. Thanks for letting me know, I sincerely appreciate it.

I am used to buying new records. They are mostly shiny and spotless. And when I openend my package containing the 45's and LP's seen here: http://spintheblackestcircles.com/bb/vi ... 403#p88403 I was a little bit disappointed. Not very shiny nor spotless. But I knew what I was buying (although without a long time thinking about it). Some 45's are 50 years old. That's a long time to survive without any marks.
However, that initial disappointment is gone and now I have a smile on my face because the brilliant tracks I just listened to. And inspecting the records one by one and placing the covers in new plastic sleeves made me realize most actually are in terrific shape.

Now spinning Aldo Buonocore's Ciak, Si Muore.
I haven't seen the film. According to Troy Howarth in So Deadly, So Perverse it is not a great giallo. But I'd love to judge that myself. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a copy anywhere.

The record sounds pretty good though :-)

With track titles like Love Me, Dracula, Devil Delight, and Spooky I consider this Halloween Vinyl, with a disco beat. :)
Meco – Moondancer
Casablanca ‎– NBLP 7155
Belongs in every disco and Meco fan collection.

A big thanks to Scott for this one. It never would have been on my radar if not for him mentioning it on the DFC and I would have passed by it when it showed up in my local shop. The Opening track on this is f'ing awesome!
