TP aside, that sleeve puts me in mind of early Factory Records

Could imagine a FACT1 stamp on the back ;)

Not normally a big fan of the less is more approach, but here think it works well for a score that arguably doesn't need much (if any) embellishment... interested to see what the 'final' package looks like

Indeed. I wonder if that is an inner sleeve or the actual cover.

Oh lovely....thank you Spencer and co. For the monumental amount of work we all know went into this release. it's been a long time since the initial announcement, and from the brief tease at mondocon of the test pressing I'm sure this will be one of the best releases of your entire catalogue( and that's saying something!). This one won't leave my table for a long while this fall.

I like it already.

Hi chaps - sales just gone live on our latest tape + digital combo....

This time it's Repeated Viewing's score to Art Imitates, a cautionary tale of America dream turned Hollywood nightmare, directed by LA-based Paul Allan and written by Bruce McComiskie.... SALES NOW OPEN from our Bandcamp and esteemed retail partners - including Transmission & Norman's...

https://spunoutofcontrol.bandcamp.com/a ... t-imitates

Cover and design once again by Eric Adrian Lee (DeathWaltz/Mondo, Giallo Disco & Wil-Ru Records). Limited and hand numbered edition.

Release date Mon August 8th (to allow for international orders etc to reach their destinations).... though in truth anyone who orders this week from us will also get theirs shipped this week ;)

Don't collect tapes? A digital download card is included with each physical order, and there is the digital option via Bandcamp too.

Here's what Repeated Viewing - aka Alan Sinclair - had to say about his latest musical outing:

‘Art Imitates offered me the chance to work on a project with two old friends from the North East of Scotland: LA-based director Paul Allan and writer Bruce McComiskie. In all honesty, my contribution was minimal! Side A of this release features the tracks used in the film. Paul picked what he liked from a larger pool of my music and I tweaked and preened them for use in the movie. Side B features a number of bonus tracks that I feel fall into the same territory. Many of these tracks were recorded onto my trusty battered 4-track after dark. Hopefully they go some way to capturing the dream-like vibe of the final film.’

As all of you really looking forward to this one. Love the minimal style. Very curious as to see how this is going to be released (different variants or not, extra limited versions). I wouldn't mind if this only had one release with a huge pressing run. Don't want to see the bitching about selling out too fast or the dolphins on the bay...

I haven't finished it yet and I can't even go into the Now Watching thread for fear of a spoiler and I LOVE THAT THREAD. Mrs Mateo asked a friend of ours at a ballgame we were all attending this evening if they had seen it and some Joey in the row behind us leaned in to talk about the show. I had to physically intervene to explain to this pedestrian that overhearing a title wasn't an invitation to public discourse on the matter and then I had to caution (read: beg) Mrs Mateo against mentioning hot, unconsumed, spoiler-ripe properties in a public setting. God, the World is a minefield, youse guys.

I only posted a pic of the title card of the last episode. And there was some mentioning about how great the show is :-)
I don't think there are any spoilers in the Now Watching thread... but maybe someone else might feel that there might. So best to not take any chances Mateo!

There is some extra talk about a bikini giallo I watched and Spun already had seen. 93 minutes of three beautiful girls in bikini's and a tiny plot.

Only three episodes in so far and loving everything about it. It's a real mash up of all the stuff I loved as a kid and the soundtrack is fine. Really enjoying the cinematography too along with it being really belivable with the era it's depicting. Great TV.

Does lakeshore do vinyl? I think they usually license that out, wasn't Hannibal lakeshore also? They will probably handle the digital release and likely someone else will do the wax. I think they put out darling also. (Fully aware I could look this up myself, but I'm on the train and half asleep)
