Gianni Ferrio - La Morte Accarezza a mezzanotte. Excellent stuff on this one, they really get cooking on tracks like "Oliver Rhythm and Blues". Haven't seen the movie, but that claw-fist thing on the jacket looks fucked up

@Bezulsqy-I like it, but I need to give it a few more spins to let it sink in. It's more abstract than I thought it was going to be. That's a good thing though. The black vinyl pressing looks and sounds great. I think the one directly from Mondo is a tricolor varient. I'm glad I picked it up Manhatten Baby needed some company in that shipping box. :)

Spun out of control wrote:Saw the Neon Demon at the weekend.... great music (obviously), stylish visuals (obviously).... but the 'story'. Hmm. Two days later I'm still scratching my head as to what I made of it all.

All being said, can't wait to spin the score - how is it sounding on the deck? ;)
@spun, it's sounding pretty dang good. It's a nice package, one blue vinyl and one green.

You're very lucky Belzulqy... that just means you have so much to look forward to: Drive, Solaris, Only God Forgives, The Knick, My Life... (the essentials & probably in that order for me) & many more!

@Monster - yes definitely an 80s vibe. The soundtrack veers between ambient and 'clubby'. Felt the movie played like an extended pop promo at times. (I also notice the most prominently featured track - Demon Dance - also heard in the trailer is not by Martinez, but by Julian Winding)

Appears to be a truncated version on the vinyl, compared with this clip? I see Mr Martinez is also supposed to be scoring the latest (in production) Wolverine sequel.

@Spun @Mateo
Thanks for making my wish list grow and grow. In due time I will acquire them all.

And Mateo, this Gaumont pressing of The Neon Demon sounds superb. A bet the Milan versions does as well.

Quite a nice segue way from Martinez into this recent release from Oscillotron on the Cineploit label.

Should imagine this has flown under a few people's radar.

Reminds me a bit of Brad Fidel's original score for Terminator meets Voya3er... meaty analogue synths sounding very... soundtrack-y.

Glad to hear it, Brother Bez; I believe my copy of the Milan version awaits me at home. Very exciting.

This will have to suffice until Zoo Folle arrives. A shameless but rather good bootleg library comp.
