@Nathan: can't wait for the Ninth Gate. cover looks very similar to the promo CD that was given away at cinemas.

i love the Il Mondo Dei Romani record but it is a shame what they did to the sleeve. removing the original writing is not very creative. can't judge on the quality of the repress though. a friend of mine is calling the label We Fuck Up Whatever Can Be Fucked Up, haha!

@ Deaf @million @Dollar

So jealous of your collections. Keep showing off and inspiring! My wish list only gets bigger :-) Next year I hopefully will be able to focus on some more obscure and original releases to acquire.

Managed to eek some much needed distance between the grindstone and my nose today, getting in some rotational time of these two electronic lovelies - will be playing and discussing on this week's DFC episode 55.

A great record from this Texas garage rock legend. It might not have been possible without the help of Stu Cook(CCR).

Thanks Logan ! Maniac Cop is cool, makes me long for a repress of Jay Chataway's Maniac. DW's The Beyond is perfect man, I have the Mondo edition as well as DW's and I think the remastered DW has s better sound overall.

Not sure what to think of Blacula, it's so...not horror. I think I only spined this once before and I wasn't aware it's a really funky ost when I bought it, time to revisit. maybe some similar vibes to some stuff from the Guardians of the galaxy's awesome mixtape.

a repress of Maniac would be great. I'm sure that would fly off the shelves. I agree the DW press of The Beyond is awesome.

Nice spins, everybody! I am looking back longingly on my vacation days last week. Nothing like being able to spin vinyl all night without the interruption of those little things called "work" or "family time". ;)

@ScoJo - Last House... is a creeper. Looking forward to hearing it on the DFC along with your commentary.

@bpwlogan - Naked Lunch just arrived, and I hope to have some time in the near future to let it fully soak into my brain. I also went for the bug powder vinyl, and I'm glad to hear it's a solid pressing.

@Nathan - Dracula AD 1972 is damn good. I feel it is deserving of more attention. Psychedelic horror funk.

re: The Beyond - I also really like the new DW pressing. I was thinking of sitting down some day and comparing all four pressings (Beat/Dagored/Mondo/DW). I am extremely curious about what Maestro Frizzi has up his sleeve for his new "Composer's Cut". I wonder if it is written for the Frizzi 2 Fulci band to perform live with the entire film?

I'm actually on my first of 10 vacation days right now guys ! With some luck, my local store will have received some Dracula AD copies, Deaf. I think I just might watch the movie to give me an idea of the soundtrack's sound. I have never seen the movie and I haven't listened to the samples of the music. Just the cover art (and the fact it's deathwaltz) makes it an auto-buy. While I do order directly from the mondo store, I sometimes ask my local store to pick up a few things for me, and that's what I did for Dracula. The downside is, it sometimes takes a while before they get their stuff from lightintheattic.

Haven't spun this Morricone enough, It's good !

Wow this is a great soundtrack from Clint Mansell, I love it. I picked it up at the local store and I had not listened to any previews/samples. I'm pleasantly surprised.

@Nathan - Nice stuff, all three of those are on my want list.

Recommended for all Lynch fans. This must have been an incredible show to attend. Rebekah del Rio's performance of Llorando is a keeper.

Excellent package from Mondo. The bug powder vinyl sounds great. I like the artwork and design as well on the release. The mix of Shore's moodiness and Coleman's jazz is quite unique. It really stood out for me when I first saw the film.
