@Spun - Thanks for the heads up on the Radiohead 45. I was able to pop out of work over lunch today and snagged the last copy available here in Portland. I called around to all the shops, and they said only about a dozen copies made it into town which sold immediately. My partner is obsessed with the band, and this surprise gift put a huge smile on her face tonight. It's already selling on eBay for ridiculous prices. 2,500 copies is almost cruel for a band with such a huge following.

@bpwlogan - Yes, the Varese LP features the film score with no added dialogue or sound effects. It also has my favorite mix of the main theme, with a cold and driving 4/4 percussion beat underlying it. I am not an expert on this, but I believe the main theme mix is different between the Varese, Mondo, and Columbia Japan versions. Both the Mondo and Columbia LP's feature dialogue and fx.

Thanks deaf. I have a lotta love for John Barry. I think I have every James Bond score he composed. The great thing about The Black Hole is you can still pick it up for next to nothing. It's a great piece of work from him.

Have been spinning this one (Ava's Possessions score, by Sean Lennon) a few times over the past few days.The kind of vinyl that when it ends you want to turn over and start again.

A good, fun, short score - with dialogue clips in between certain tracks that are actually witty in an intelligent horror comedy way.

Don't know anything about the movie - but chanced up this on Norman Records and thought it sounded like my cup of tea.

Basically it has everything you'd want from a horror score - some synth-y stuff, some Italian Giallo sounding stuff, a bit of Goblin-type stuff and even an original song.
