It's on me if you hate it...but I cant imagine how that would be the case.

Quick few things about the movie, going in:
- Its a very faithful version of Mailer's own novel, which is ace.
- The legend is that they ONLY SHOT ONE TAKE OF EVERYTHING. Think about that!
- Debra Sandlund is ridiculous sexy.
- Penn Jillette is in it as a wife-swapping minister....TRUE!
- It's beautifully shot and scored.
- The cast are all amazing.
- The last line is amazing.
- Wings Hauser is amazing! The director had to tell him to literally sit on his hands, so he wouldnt 'act' with them so much!
- Ryan o Neill was seriously pissed that Mailer didnt cut out the infamous 'O god, o man...' scene. Thank god! Its AMAZING. Youll know it when you see it.
- In case youre not picking up on it...I friggin adore this wild, bizarre, wicked, profane, hilarious movie!
Enjoy :)
I am going to check it out this week!
If I can find it that is...

Keith's last stand. A great mix of guitar and synths. I Have to say my favorite Who album by far.

I wrote my college thesis back in '09 to this album. it was snowing and cold and i set a card table up next to my bed and blasted this while i worked. 60 pages on satanic imagery in art and film.

I like this album much more than the first after the initial listen. I just wish Sacred Bones' pressing plant could press a record properly centered, I get at least some pitch warble on almost every release.

@Hatter such a unique release from him. It's a great one to just give a few spins and think. I never thought he would release something like that.

@texas - My copy of Lost Themes II arrived today. The screen-printed sleeve looks rad as hell.
@Hatter @bpwlogan - Ghosts is a great listen. I should take that off the shelf again soon.

I just finished cleaning The Terminator for another spin:

I am really pleased to have this experience on vinyl, and I am kicking myself for not tracking down the expanded score in a digital format before. It feels a bit like listening to a very familiar story told through sound. There are some mad-ass electronics in this score. It's really inspiring.

After the cleaning and a second listen, I am still hearing either a whooshing or a soft clunking sound on parts of sides B, C, and quite a lot of noise/static on side D, especially during the quieter moments. As I've said, I am a headphone listener, but perhaps I have a defective copy. I will get Milan's opinion on this one to see if it could be replaced. When the music is loud, it's almost unnoticeable and things sound damned amazing. The pros/cons of listening in cans.

@deaf- I almost picked up The Terminator the other day. I decided to pick up the repress of Scarface instead. I'm going to bite on that score at some point. I gotta have it. One thing I need to do is get a cleaning machine. I've never owned one. I have a ton of records that need a proper cleaning.

Terminator update: JC from Milan responded and said my copy is defective. I am going to get a replacement. I will post an update after receiving a new copy.

@bpwlogan - I don't own a cleaning machine either, but a spray bottle with the proper cleaning fluid and a microfiber cloth work well. There are some inexpensive starter kits out there.

it's nice, texas,it's not too expensive, black and white marbled on grey vinyl. First side is a compilation of songs with a Marilyn Manson track, 2 alternative electro pop type tracks, then that great single "Who You Talking to Man ?" and a bluesy track. side 2 is 4 tracks from Le Castle Vania, so pulse pounding electro for those John Wick action scene, then there's 5 score tracks wich are a continuation of the electro style from before, but more cinematic. Tyler Bates worked on the score and 2 tracks from Side A

I bought it for the single 'Who You Talking to.." and to add to my Tyler Bates collection. It's not essential, but very nice Alternative electro rock/ action movie soundtrack.

Nice one @deaf... probably two of the greatest pop/rock/funk albums of all time (discuss)

I should add that as a young 'un, Purple Rain was the first soundtrack I ever bought. Recall my mother walking in as 'When Doves Cry' was playing and asking: "What's this... it sounds perverse..?"

Needless to say I was hooked on Prince for at least the next decade.

You can imagine what hearing 'Darling Nikki' did to a young impressionable mind ;)

@nathan.... need to grab that The Guest LP for my 80s fix...haven't seen it on sale in the UK as yet, so if anyone has a heads up on any RSD copies, let me know ;)

finally replacing my beat-up (at my own hands) copy. Even though it wasn't bad and still very listenable I have been on the lookout for a better copy for a cheap price. shipping from England was more than I paid for the album, total was under $20. I'm happy. @static, my spare will be on it's way to you this week.
