Great news r.e: The Fountain soundtrack, that's one of the best of the last few years. Been holding out for that.

Though now I think about it, it'll probably be on Mogwai's label, Rock Action. That'd make sense.

"It deserves better than ... infinite represses."

Not sure I agree with this as a negative. I think keeping records in print is generally a good thing. How can getting the music into as many hands as possible be bad?

With that said, shady marketing whereby the 'limited' tag is mis-used to try and drum up sales is not a good thing and those that do it should be punished. ;)

@jmctodo: Yeah, that's what I meant - the misuse of the 'limited' tag. I agree it's cool to keep something in print. I just hate all of this "limited pressing, hurry up before it sells out!" bullshit, only to be followed by infinite represses. It's a cynical way to sell records. If it's marketed as a limited run, then keep it limited, otherwise just keep it in print until it stops selling.

Room 237 is a great score. I started to watch the doc a few months back and couldn't get through it, but the music is pretty awesome.

Spencer - how many of the New York Ripper copies going out to stores and mail order are just green instead of green/yellow split? I bought one locally and it was just green. I'm thinking of buying another copy to get the split color but don't want to get stuck with another plain green, since it's close to the sub copy I already have.

Just a heads up Shock Till You Drop are debuting TWO sleeves tomorrow plus a free track download and a long lost video from the 80's .
Very excited to be releasing these two as they are two of the best unsung 80s synth masterpieces……..

Spencer - What about ordering direct from LITA? Their page says split, are they just sending green to stores and split to mail orders? Sorry, I just want to make sure I'm buying from the right place, as I'm in the US and I believe LITA fulfills your orders that are going to the US even if ordered from your site.

Thanks for the digs at our label Re-Animated Cat.

for the record - you have to bare in mind the contracts we have in place with the respected master rights holders for DRIVE / SOLARIS stipulate that we have to use artwork provided.

I woud hardly call DRIVE / SOLARIS lazy screenshots. We have tried and i think delivered quality products within our contractual rights.

in regard to repress's we always try to keep things in press when we can. If there is a one -off variant we will stick to that.

@NathanLurker - Not a Fulci fan, eh? :D I love the soundtrack and the movie. Fulci Rules! It's an odd one though, that's for sure. As cool as all these bigger or more well-known OST releases are (Like Halloween, Rosemary's Baby etc), I'm hoping for more releases of obscure-ish films such as this one from Death Waltz. It's awesome that people will buy the soundtrack without being familiar with the film, too! Makes me think Spencer can take some chances, eh…? ;)

And Giallo.
And synths.

Has anyone seen the shock till you drop article on some of the future releases? The cover art looks amazing for both, cool 80's for slumber party and sort of old school EC comics for forbidden World. So excited for all the Death Waltz 2014 releases.

Those covers look awesome! I've never seen Forbidden World, the sample song is boring as fuck and doesn't interest me in the least in terms of wanting to buy the soundtrack...but the cover art is absolutely awesome, so that will keep me intrigued. Might have to buy it just for the art!

The music for Slumber Party is really great! I'm excited to hear that full album.

Can't get the page to load? I just watched Forbidden world for the first time a few weeks back and liked the score.

How good is Room 237? The more I play it the more I like like it. SOOO GOOD.

Looks like it might have been taken down. Cant get to the link when I search for it on their site either. Can see the link but nothing loads. I'm sure it will be up again soon.

@thedeepness Room 213 is dam fine. Got the CD on in the car since the sub package showed up. Yet to take it out of the player. It's fantastic driving music.

That's the great thing about Death Waltz, there are some scores released for movies I've never heard of, and I'll buy it anyway because I know it's going to be a quality release, and chances are I'll appreciate it. So far though, the only movies I haven't seen from the DW releases have been the newer films, and Twins of Evil. I'm really looking forward to more synths and Giallo.

Oh I'm not a huge Fulci fan but I do enjoy his movies and I AM a underground horror fan. my favourite from Fulci yet is obviously Zombi 2. I've recently seen Don't torture a Duckling and the New York Ripper, and I think I enjoyed ''Don't torture ...'' more. I've seen The Beyond too. that was cool.

The thing about Fulci's movies is, there's always some things bothering me that I have to disregard to enjoy the movie. like bad acting. or unlikeable characters. or a boring scene. or some very bad dialogue. So IMO they're all fun movies with flaws. Flaws that become part of the fun I guess because I keep watching them anyway. I used to watch a lot of ''so bad it's good'' horror movies and Fulci's movies, I think they have one foot in that territory.

I prefer the new york ripper soundtrack to the movie, but I did enjoy the movie. ;)
