That's cool, I'll just email him then. I'm not in a rush, as I know they're slammed right now. And if my sub version is correct, I won't even bother with it.

I also picked up New York Ripper when I was there, but it was only the transparent green version, not the split green/yellow. I was really only buying it to get the split color since I have the sub coming. I would order a copy from LITA, but that's where my local shop buys from and it was this solid version. The LITA website only lists the split version, but obviously they have some others mixed in with it, so I don't know what I'd get. Also, it seems when US customers order from the DW site, LITA ships it out for them (they did for my Goblin record).

Listening to AOP13 for the second time tonight. Just sat down to read the booklet, and after getting through most of it, I realized I had a copy with the center page put in backwards, as some others have mentioned. Along with the inverted gatefold, I guess I got a copy with all the flaws. Vinyl sounds great though, and overall, I think it's the best thing DW has put out to this point.

Hey Guys. I have a Room 237 sub edition on split red/green and I am looking to pick up another as I also love the look of the orange/red swirl I have seen. Can anyone help with where these are sold? The Death Waltz web store has the half orange and half red split but I cant see the swirl version. Was the swirl a US only version? Any info to help me track one down would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys

The "swirl" version seems to be the standard retail edition. I got mine from amazon (uk).

My sub came to the burbs of Chicago yesterday -- They were packed to perfection and look absolutely stunning -- DW has out done themselves -- I see where it is slightly difficult to get the record or book back in, but hell, I don't care, I sometimes just keep records out of the sleeve and in the plastic cover if that is the case...I was so friggin psyched for these that I finally caved and ordered a record player for the office...things keep piling up here, and I might as well enjoy them! Cheers to these releases!

My sub came yesterday and I am very pleased. It was well packaged and arrived safe and undamaged. After a couple listens to each here is my quick review:
The music
The most important part and it doesn't dissapoint. The pressings are very clean on all my copies with no surface noise and a nice full sound
-AOP13: I have heard this 100 times and it has never sounded better
-Room 237: Had never heard this before and love it. Sound is great. I can't get enough of the last track
-New York Ripper: again something I had never heard. The sax is great.
The Packageing
The packaging is great IMO. If it was up to me they would all be gatefolds like AOP13 (slot for the record and a slot for the stuff) and but I really like the new single sleeves. I think once the booklets are made a little smaller so they fit easier this new sleeve is great. My NY Ripper poster and booklet were wrinkled up pretty good when I took them out, I think they had a hard time getting them in in the first place. The thing I love about the new sleeves is the look of spine on the shelf. It makes the DW records stand out and you can tell the different records apart alot easier than the old spines.
The Records
-AOP13: Looks awesome, like a balieys and hot chocolate (not a coffee guy). I love it when one side looks way differnt than the other (like my Devils Business sub). Great
-Room 237: cool split colors. I think the regular orange edition fits the colors of the cover better which makes it a better pick for the regular editon but this one looks sharp
-New York Ripper: Gotta admit I am a little disapointed with the color on this one. Mine is basically green, very similar to my Manchester Morgue. If you hold it to the light there is a slight variation in color but very little.

Overall 3 great releases. I see them getting a lot of spins.

I would say it is green with a faint hint of black swirl. Flat as a lead pancake!

My copy of AOP13 arrived. I like the thick cardboard gatefold. LITA removed the vinyl for me but I don't think any seams would have been damaged! I'll be giving the record a listen tonight. I like how the red print on the sleeve feels so slick.

Looking forward to knowing what DW has plans for in 2014! I'm hoping J.C.'s The Thing is in the pipeline...

I got my sub package yesterday. And thankfully didn't have to sign for it. I haven't had a chance to open them yet, but I'm looking forward to giving these a spin!

Picked up my sub came today after getting a signature needed slip yesterday. Weird, as apparently they tried to deliver it last week according to a stamp on the package, but I never got a notice saying they attempted delivery last week. Vinyls look great, though my copy of New York Ripper has a pretty bad "bowl warp" on side A, but I haven't tried listening to it to see if there are any issues with playing it.

My copy of AOP13 has quite a bit of popping towards the end of both sides. Anyone else's copy have that? Not a big deal, just wondering. The overall quality sound is great especially those bassy parts.

No popping on my copy of AOP13, but ran into that sort of problem lots with new vinyl. Sometimes it gradually seems to fix itself, sometimes it's something you sadly learn to live with.

I have one of those anti static brushes, that helps a lot with pops I've found, as some aren't dust on the vinyl but just static that has built up. My AOP13 vinyl has a weird part between songs where it gets stuck and won't progress to the next track. It may just be something in there because the first time I played it that didn't happen, but after that it's started happening. That's on my vanilla copy, haven't played my sub copy yet. The bass on that record sounds tight and really deep. I really can't say enough how I think AOP13 is the best thing DW has put out to date, just the quality of the packaging and music. Also, I'm really digging the new custom center labels.

I played AOP13 twice; first time, it sounded like a lot of popping but on the 2nd spin, it seemed less. I think I cleaned it the 2nd listen so will do that again for the next listen.
