I thought it would be fun to try out a Poll.

I was wondering how everyone else listens to vinyl? 95% of the time I always listen to both sides of an LP.

Obviously, your listening habits may vary, but answer on how the majority of your listening experience goes.

I also listen to both sides, or whatever constitutes the entire album. My partner is the exact opposite and is a hardcore "skipper". She will skip through all the tracks, find the one she likes, and then only listen to about half of it before moving on. Drives me insane!

Also, my new exercise routine is to only listen to 45's for an hour.

I usually listen to the whole lp. But some stuff, for example libraries I'll skip tracks.

Skipping tracks is what CDs are for. The playing of an LP is more of a ritual, I'm always really torn whether to lift the stylus or let it keep playing if I need to leave the room for some reason for a couple of minutes

For the most part if I put something on i listen to whole album.

I put something on, but then i often get bored.... next!
Probably part of the curse having 3000+ items in your collection. Always craving for that perfect tune that matches my immediate mood.
I rarely use LPs as 7"s for that specific track. Except: There Is A Light That Never Goes Out on The Queen Is Dead. The single is out of reach.
No, I'm rambling, actually not true at all... goes for Taxi Driver also. Diary Of A Taxi Driver is what I want.
With Combat Rock I only want to listen to Ghetto Defendant. Don't think it was ever released as a 7".
Anyway on and on... you get the idea.
Also glad I have two turntables.

I listen to one side at a time, but it's like this: when I get home from work, I listen to one side whilst I get changed and the other a few hours later when I first get into bed. I find it relaxes me after work.

I usually listen to one side of an LP. I never skip tracks or pull the needle early. When I post what I'm playing on the forum I always play the entire LP or cassette.

When I'm not drunk I usually play an entire record/ side. Drunk, or otherwise intoxicated, I mostly seek the "cumshot".
