these are my favourie Jacky Giordano's, i got rid of several of his other records as they sold for ridiculous money and were not as good as these two...

the rule is actually pretty simple. you can't go wrong with any Giodrano release but the ones above are my absolue favourites.

@million I did look for that. It isn't the track separators. By the end of the first track the reissue is about 1 second behind.

This is something I've only recently started to notice. For example I picked up a copy of Zeppelin III and did an A/B comparison to another pressing I have. The A side of one of the pressings was cut significantly faster than the other, enough to where you can easily hear the difference in pitch. Yet oddly enough the B sides are cut exactly the same.

As Oscar Gamble famously said, "I don't know how it be, but it do"

Image Two new Umiliani reissues on Schema. Fischiando In Beat & Synthi Time, originally on Omicron. Cant have enough Umiliani in my life.

@dollarhyde: fasciando in beat does not contain any electronics. I own the omicron issue but i don't think it is outstanding. Beat and jazzy styles. There is one tune that i really dig but i cant remember which it was. Overhyped and overrated if you ask me. I would have reissued ten other Omicrons instead of this but still....Good to have..

The Freesound i would love to hear. Truly an artifact. As rare as it can get...

You shouldn't pass on it. It's wonderful. Way more interesting than yet another generic soundtrack from Hans Zimmer which you think you have been listening to several times already. Funky happy tunes to embrace - or better yet, let them embrace you.
I'm glad I got this reissue. Been spinning it a lot. Listen to the tracks on Discogs and make your decision:

It shines.

I have to say that both this and 'The Bid-On' are two of the albums I've listened to loads recently. Very upbeat catchy tunes, great for depressing journeys into work. Highly recommended.

cheers @Volzom and @vapor, in the short term my lack of funds has made all the decision making for me :( been applying for a mortgage and preparing for christmas. Plentyadded to the 'to buy' list though ;)

Completely understand, sounds like you've got your priorities right. It's really tough to get on the housing ladder these days so I wish you all the best @Dollar. It's an exciting time getting your own place. I wasn't expecting all the Sonor music editions to land this side of Christmas so my purse strings are also now definitely closed for business.

Just seen some spam postings over on the Soundtrack forum relating to Christmas UGG boots. Seriously considering closing my account and giving up my ability to post as I just feel a little uneasy having my data on here with all the issues recently. It would be a massive dissapointment as I've been pointed in the direction of some truly wonderful music by all the good folks that post on here and It's a shame the experience is being ruined by spammers.

what data do you have on here that you feel uneasy about?

the spam listings occur on all message boards, its up to the moderators to take care of them.

also thats part of the reason why i had the registration closed.

@vapor, im well into my thirties so it's about time :) cant wait, but will most likely have to reduce my vinyl funds longterm, until I up my pay band.

Kind of like the idea, as painful as it may seem, to limiting myself to even one lp per month. Wonder of it would cause myself to have a really well curated collection

I've been on the lookout for Criminale Volumes 1 and 2 having missed them when they came out. Forced Exposure have represses of both listed for January. I hope that's true for anyone like me looking to pick them up.

I hope it's true - I've not seen them listed anywhere else, and the label didn't mention it when I contracted then about represses last month. Volume 4 is one of my favourite records that I've picked up this year.

Thanks @Volzom, it must have been added in the last 24 hours or so. I recently missed a volume 1 on Discogs waiting for a quote for shipping, so I hope that still gets repressed in Jan.

Cheers

Yeah, Chief. I was actually a little late to the party myself. I picked up a #1, what seemed to be the last at that time on Discogs, 6 months ago - or something like that. I'm glad that it's getting repressed as you say, because these discs are killers.
I'm a naïve sucker for library compilations. Crème de la crème...

Absolutely killer compilation library series. This time French!

Blow Up Presents Exclusive Blend Volume 4 (Blow Up Records 2001)

Listen to this über funky killer:

Of course I'd love to have the OGs, but...

@Volzom
One my favourite library series, but maybe not everyone's cup of tea. These can be picked up relatively cheap, for libraries, quite easily. Seem to be a few reissues floating around too. That compilation is solid though and covers most of the high points and beat heavy tracks in the series.

Discogs has some ogs at a fair price, Chappell Dance and Mood Music Vol 4 for example.
