Superman is up, I got a green one because I'm a rebel even though red is probably the one that makes more sense

Also Spencer just an FYI the state tax isn't set right... It charged me tax on the shipping but not on the merch.

I think they may go pretty fast. I got 2 sold out messages before my order went through...only 400 left of the green...

Bought the red one, the green didn't appeal to me to be honest. Nice companion to the Batman disc. I had a bit of a struggle again with Mondo's PayPal gateway, bit of a worry when something that will sell really quickly goes live!

Ah, nevermind. The relatively low numbers from the initial drop now seem unlimited. Spoke too soon.

I saw that the "For Sara" tape went live for purchase. Is "The Cooties" LP going live today as well?

I just re-read the Mondo newsletter, and it looks like Cooties isn't going live today. Never mind.

The vinyl release will be released in the near future.

ALIENS link

Mondo appears to be licensing its releases to other retailers. Thoughts on this? Not keen on it personally.

@texasvinyl that does seem a bit disappointing . . . although a lot of larger retailers (i.e. ones that can afford it) have been cutting deals lately on getting exclusive variants made for them.

Can anyone speak to the quality difference between Mondo's "Beyond" release from a few years ago and the recent one sold at MondoCon?

@reddye6

From the Mondo newsletter:

"Featuring newly remastered audio by Enricio DeGemini, cover art by Graham Humphreys and never before seen on set photographs from the personal collection of Larry Ray"

The show/webstore version is a single LP in a gatefold sleeve similar to the previous pressing, but it also includes a full-size color insert with the photographs and two full sides of liner notes. I have been listening to the MondoCon version this morning, and it sounds great to me.

Buddy of mine picked up a mystery test press, and while we were pretty positive we guessed it and Spencer basically confirmed it. he gave it a spin this evening.

Classic American score to a personal favorite of mine is all I'll tell you, I'm sure some people will be pleased when it drops, I know I'll be psyched.

Hell yeah - I'm glad you got that confirmed! I can only guess where Mondo's gonna take the artwork on that one. It's going to be a monster of a release.

@Hatter @Walter - Were the mystery test presses stocked in the Mondo store? By the time I got over there, I only saw the labeled test pressings. Did you guys hear of any other out of print gems on the shelves?

yeah, i think there may have only been 3 or 4 mystery ones in there. My friend was in there before i was actually, and there were only labeled ones by the time i got there. and if i remember correctly you were only a few people behind me in the DW/Mondo line.

I haven't heard of any super rarities, but there were quite a few older titles hanging around.

@deaf - yeah, they were just sitting there. I think they restocked them on Sunday morning as well. As far as out-of-print releases, they had quite a few retail copies of Poltergeist, Halloween, die-cut Batman, and some others, but nothing crazy like at the last pop-up shop with the spare Jurassic Park ambers and Drive copies.

Snagged copies of the Mondocon variants of both The Beyond and Frizzi 2 Fulci. Now, I can breathe a sigh of relief...back to work!

Grabbed a The Beyond and Simbolismo Psichedelico. Self control won today as I took the other two releases off my order. With the AoD vinyl that @cult got for me I believe I just need a copy of Black Swan to satisfy my Mondocon wants.

Edit: Self control disappeared when the previously coming up as unavailable mondocon exclusive The Beyond finally let me check out with one. Who doesn't need two copies of The Beyond.

@Hatter @Walter - Ah, I had forgotten about Halloween and Poltergeist. I also saw some Batman animated series 7"s in the shop. Kind of wishing I had sprung for the Fulci comp test press, but had already spent enough on other titles.

Very pleased to pick up the two Intervallo releases this morning. That helped me avoid having to import them to the US. Thank you again, DW/Mondo crew.

Just a heads up

Black Belly Of The Tarantula
Umberto
Steve Moore

will be up online next week + all our exclusive distributed titles will be up too.
Save your pennies.

All three of these only had 500 pressed and leftovers are low.

Umberto and Steve Moore will NOT be repressed in a record store edition - these are strictly ltd to 500 for the screenings we did.

Well i got two of those handed to me directly by yourself, so i'm good with black belly and Umberto (still can't get over how fun that last night was) so I'll just need to hope for that Steve Moore.
