Hey everybody,

I'm looking to improve upon what I have for a setup at the moment but I'd like some advice/opinions.

It's exactly like a setup Hatter described in a post months back:

Pro-ject Debut Carbon DC TT w/ Ortofan 2m Red cartridge

Bellari VP29 pre amp

Audio engine A5+ powered speakers

Audioquest Tower RCA cables

1.) I'm thinking about purchasing an Audioengine Subwoofer. However spacing is a bit of an issue right now. Does anyone have any quality recommendations?

2.) I want to move my speakers away from my turntable as I don't like them so close to it. Each is about 10-12 inches from my TT. Does anyone know if Audioengine makes poles for A5+'s? I can't seem to find any online and I'd love to stand the speakers on each side of the shelving unit to provide a bit more breathing room for my TT. The threaded inserts are 1/4" but I've been looking at Sanus Euro Series stands.

3.) What else would you guys recommend I add to this setup to improve the sound quality? My budget is a bit limited at the moment but I'd like the best quality for my money, so even if I can't invest in equipment right away I'd still love suggestions to keep in mind for when I have more money to invest.

@snowbro

I recently picked up some btech stands from Amazon for £40. Theres also a few sellers on eBay too. They're based on the Atacama stands for less than half the price. They're really sturdy and come with floor and speakers spikes/pads and are fillable for extra dampening. The reviews are great and I'm really happy with them.

Amazon linky

Maybe a mat upgrade? I've read good reviews regarding the Project cork mat and only £20 or so.

Also, i upgraded from a 2m red to blue and the jump is incredible. If you've got a little patience, you can pick one up on eBay for a decent price... Just holding out for right time right price.

Just my two cents, I hope it's helped
