Gutted I missed the sync guys, been uber busy at work and didnt get round to sourcing a copy of the film.

Throwing a nomination for Day of the dead out there.

Keen to see it since the waxwork release, which I foolishly dont own, yet. Always had a love hate relationship with the movie.

@Dollarhyde - Day of the Dead is another great nomination. There is obviously no shortage of material for this club. :)

Ha! Was just thinking the other day that Purple Rain may have well been my first ever bought with my own pocket money soundtrack purchase... spellbinding music and performance thereof (wonder if it's still as amazing as my younger self remembers it)

His royal badness aside, both movie club recommendations so far are tip top

I'm up for Prince too, if I can make the date. I've only seen it once.

I've not seen Purple Rain in too long. I'm sure it's as amazing as you remember @spun. Maybe not as a film, but the performances are incredible. Surely there's never been a better soundtrack.

^ I'd be a fool and a communist not to agree with this sentiment...

@spun, great idea. I'd love to join this month - hopefully I can.

I was planning on voting Prince, but I don't see how the Club couldn't play tribute to Rowdy this month.

One final comment though - shame on you for not having watched it in the post-VHS era!

I would like to change my vote to They Live, especially since less than an hour ago I asked my significant other if she wanted to watch it with me tonight in tribute to Roddy... denied!

Has to be They Live :(

If everyone is happy with THEY LIVE this month, could I suggest we go ahead with it
asap? As in next Sunday 9th?

I've started the appropriate thread for folks to drop an AOK if that works for them.

Let's do this - and pay tribute to the one and only Hot Rod.

Amen.

Can I nominate The Hills Have Eyes this month (for obvious reason...)

So long, Mr Craven. When you were good, you were very, very good.

Is there any remaining enthusiasm for the Club? I've not made it to the last couple due to one thing or another (kids, job, kids-and-job-related exhaustion). I actually thought about suggesting a Halloween sync but got side-tracked.

Between other commitments, trying to curtail my spending and the forum being down, I've not been round here much. I've missed you guys!

If we still have 'club members', how about a CHRISTMAS SPECIAL?

I think that gives us a choice of Silent Night, Deadly Night or Christmas Evil. Any other suggestions welcome.

If we keep it with Sundays, the dates could be :
29th November
6th December
13th December
20th December
27th December
