I think it was Wednesday I emailed Mondo & they replied that they hope to have all orders shipped by mid-week (this week). I received my shipping notice the very next day.

I'm hoping it'll show up on Tuesday as I'm less than 100 miles north of Austin but I think the stupid PO will actually take the mail all the way to Dallas then back south again...

No shipping notice yet, but already found copies on shelves. Not sure the slipmat was worth the extortionary international shipping cost.

I messaged them through their contact page on the website and got this response:

"I apologize for any confusion. We shipped out single LP orders first, and will be moving on to double LP and slipmat orders shortly. We should have all Halloween order shipped out this week! You'll receive a confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves our fulfillment center."

I find it very strange that they wouldn't process everything in the order they were received. I sent them back a message saying I ordered several copies in order to hopefully get the variant (and inevitably get stuck with a bunch of black copies) and that I would hate to miss out on the variant even though I ordered within minutes of the on sale because my order was delayed. We'll see what they have to say.

I've not seen one copy of black out there yet from anyone I follow on IG...I've seen lots of variant orange though. Hopefully that doesn't mean that most orders with multiple records in them will get double black. That would suck!

That is very strange that they would ship out single orders first...what was the point of that I wonder? Simple ease of sliding a single record into a box instead of two or three?

I've still not heard if there are any splatter variants floating around that might go up for sale...I'd love to get one of those. No one said they sold out at that show recently...so I would assume some are left? There were 1,000 copies pressed if I remember right...

Well the black is definitely out there cause that's what I got from Amazon. I figured I try them as well as Mondo since I've read of people being lucky with variants through them. Hopefully I have better luck with my Mondo order.

They've gotta be shipping them in reverse, there's no doubt I was in the first five purchasing the vinyl, I was so anxious to get some sleep my F5 is still fucked. Will be equally bummed if I'm heavy with black vinyl. Still no shipping notification over here.

Once again Layne hits the nail on the head with the stress factor - I'm still on a dumb phone so I have to hope my wife is home so we can go back and forth - She's got it down though...this will be our third attempt at a Mondo purchase - I'm actually shooting for the poster...got the splatter version of the Lp already - I'm thinking that there was no limit on purchasing them at the convention...I've seen at least four come out of one Ebayer...so maybe they will only have a handful of the 1000 left

I managed to score one of the lps as well -- I was trying to log on to get a poster, and basically, in the time the tweet came across, and Chrome loading the page, it was already sold out. Crazy stuff. Insane amounts of time waiting for a Mondo tweet.

Halloween arrived today; black vinyl. I've yet to score color vinyl from Mondo. Will give it a listen later tonight.

I got black vinyl, which is actually A-OK with me. I'm getting a little burned out on the whole orange vinyl thing. (reissues n' all) To score any color variant, seems like you have to buy at least two directly from Mondo. At least that's how it seemed to go with me (I got Maniac black and white) as well as a few others that I knew of who got the pink and black version of DRIVE. The splatter would have been cool to get but I'm not going to kill all day for it, waiting and refreshing my browser incessantly. Anyway...

I wound up with a Sightseers poster as well as a Dr. Manhattan poster. Didn't really want either one - but I knew I wouldn't get the damn Halloween poster, so I'm hoping someone somewhere might be interested in trading for one.

I did end up with two copies of the variant splatter edition, and now I have 3 copies of the version A. So far I've only received the Amazon order, it came up black.

I am listening now and I actually enjoy the audio inserts. The music itself sounds better on my original Varese Sarabande vinyl, but this is a nice back-up...and it allows me to better preserve my original copy.
