I like dialogue on soundtracks so that's a plus for me. It is possible to have too much dialogue though.

I saw a photo of this release on another forum's "recent vinyl scores" thread so I'm hoping that means they're shipping.

I think it will only be good if all of Jeff Goldblum's dialogue about Chaos Theory is interspersed throughout. Or not. This could potentially be where my Mondo "Complete Collection" starts to unravel.

Unfortunately, I think the majority of these soundtracks that are being pressed today are being directly sourced from digital files, i.e., CDs, which completely defeats the purpose of having it on record at that point. At least for me, it's getting to where if it's not taken from the original analog master tapes (hats off to Waxworks--analog to analog....makes sense), then there's really no point in owning it on LP, IMHO, unless it's something that I can't live without having on various formats. That being said, Blade Runner was a no brainer. Love the use of dialogue in that soundtrack too.

Good to know it is shipping. I just checked my account but there was no sign of a recent order then I remembered I ordered Halloween as a guest. Hopefully, I'll get a shipping notice in a few days.

Wouldn't a 7" of the theme song for Jurassic Park be quite sufficient for all your JP nostalgia needs? I'm not sure that that soundtrack is actually an interesting listen all alone.

But this is also coming from Mondo, if it is true...look at that Raid soundtrack they released...that is proof enough that they can easily miss the mark on quality.

@strangevices - very nice! yeah, JP is reeeeaaaallllly low on soundtracks i would like to own. that will probably break my mondo collection streak, unless the artwork rules and it is a $20 single LP. can't see paying more than that for a soundtrack i will probably never listen to more than once.

Guess I'm the only one who loves the Jurassic Park soundtrack.

All the copies of Halloween I've seen so far have been the orange variant. I'm guessing this is similar to Oblivion and all orders direct from Mondo get the variant?

I love the main Jurassic Park theme but can't even recall the rest. I'll probably go for one. So much of that movie was a part of my childhood and I may not love the OST as much as the Carpenter or Goblin stuff but like it enough.

I got mine on Friday. Black, but it sounds great. I actually enjoy the whole dialogue aspect of it. Reminds me a lot of those "film on record" things from the '70s and '80s. Certainly higher fidelity and more entertaining on a straight level than my Santa Claus Conquers the Martians storybook.

@thenuthouse I love the dialogue in it as well. The only negative thing I will say about the pressing, and after reading Modern Vinyl's review, there really is an abnormal amount of surface noise present. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same issue. It doesn't take away from the listening experience for me though.
