Fanboy, is that you? Should've known you'd be chasing a VB for that Halloween! Congrats on getting hooked up for that - looks great!

@fanboy - is there a vinyl release happening at that event? i checked out the 35yearsofterror website and didn't see anything about it.

Yeah, Mondo Instagrammed a picture of an orange and black splatter variant a few days ago. Looks sweet

Does anyone know if the Tales from the Crypt 7"s fall into the Mondo numbering system? If they do, I will have to grab one..if not...well, probably not. In other Mondo commentary...$500 for the Mondo event is silly, silly, silly. I don't care if it comes with a hand shandy from Bruce Willis.

@layne, I gave up getting all things Mondo vinyl a while ago. But being this is Halloween and I have quite a soundtrack collection I had to keep it up.

Maybe they'll do like they did with TFTC 7"s & put the leftovers up for sale on their site. This is of course assuming there will be leftovers.

Strange that the slip mats are sold out and not made to order. Halloween still shows as in stock.

They must have pressed a truck load of the Halloween LPs. I'm surprised they aren't sold out too. No vinyl has lasted this long on their site.

I saw that Modern Vinyl tweeted a picture of the orange variant, looks a little darker than the orange DW has used for EFNY. But that still leaves the orange splatter version that Mondo instagramed. If Modern Vinyl got their copy, hopefully this will start shipping soon.

I think we have a good chance of scoring the variant. From Mondo's blog:

And, as our west coast fans know by now, we wouldn’t just come to town empty handed. Come by Booth #101 anytime during the convention hours and you can pick up a brand new poster for HALLOWEEN by Jock, and a special Variant version of our HALLOWEEN soundtrack featuring alternate artwork by Phantom City Creative, pressed on 180 gram translucent Orange with black splatter (limited to 1,000 copies).

Sleeve art is different too. Peep it here

Just saw that after posting. Yeah, 1000 copies is a lot, but since it's only available at this event, I think the prices on eBay are gonna be pretty high. I do like that it's variant artwork and not just different vinyl. Not sure I need to have it in addition to the regular version, but if the price is right I'll get it.

Got this info from over at ExpressoBeans. Mondo is planning a Looper soundtrack on vinyl.

The Looper ost is cool, of course not a milestone but definitely worth a vinyl! I'm in for this one! ;)

Good movie. I don't really remember the music, but I'd buy it anyway.

I'm excited for it I got my notice a few days back. Also had some help with the splatter version from LA this St weekend.

Anyone heard at all if the splatter editions sold out? or if maybe some will make their way onto Mondo's site?

Quite interesting. I wonder if it was ripped direct from the 20th anniversary cd...does anyone have any source info on the release? Also, the inclusion of dialogue is almost always a negative for me -- unless it is so sparse as to add to the music -- "Time for your appointment with the Wicker Man" comes to mind. The Dagored pressing of EFNY is an example of a release I don't care for -- too much dialogue -- and it sounds like this release is on par with that. Maybe the first time through I would want to hear Dr. Loomis' "Devil's Eyes" speech, but not much after that.
