Has there been any word on when the Carpenter prints will ship? Ive got a spot on the wall all ready to go!

Facebook suggests they were sent a while ago - but like my subscription it is just more money I've paid out with nothing in return!!! (Joke!) I'm really eager to get Room 237 as listen to it a lot on Spotify - it is excellent. I'm waiting to see if customs sting me for import duty on the Carpenter print, like I've just had to pay on another bit of art coming from US to the UK. (£18 fine!)

PS - just saw Resident in Brighton selling the new DW stuff for £16.99 each. Why is there such a price difference between shops and DW online?

Has any subscriber received anything yet in terms of 'added extras' / surprises? Tote bag, etc?

DW people - I really enjoyed the Fog event you put on. Any chance of doing similar stuff for some of the other films you've done soundtracks for? Keep up the good work.

I got a spot picked out for my Carpenter print as well. I think it is super cool and can't wait to get it framed and hang it. I want to do something cool with the framing for this one.

Nothing yet on my end for subscriber stuff yet. I was assuming it would be after the first wave of music ships. I am most pumped for Assault on Percinct 13, I got the tape last week and can't wait for the wax.

Has anyone got that A Field in England tape yet? Just got mine, but a bit disappointingly, I think it was dubbed off the vinyl. You can hear some rogue sounds that seem very much like record pops. Not a major issue, though, and still glad Death Waltz put this out.

ha, I just popped mine in, and at one point I glanced to my turntable to see if the needle was dirty or something before I remembered it was a tape. your observation probably explains my subconscious thought that my setup needed tweaking...

Seems kinda sketchy that it's a vinyl rip. I'm sure he got permission, but not the masters or even WAV's? I'll take it over paying $100 for a vinyl copy. Shame they didn't do a digital release of it.

No subscriber has received anything yet. I'm really just want to hear Assault on Precinct 13, I don't mind waiting on the rest. I ordered all the DW tapes from Mount Analog, but I also ordered one of their shirts and they're back ordered, so I have to wait (cause I really do want a Mount Analog shirt!).

I'm really curious as to what the subscription colorways will look like. I don't know if I should order one of the AOP13 vanilla swirl vinyls from LITA. That's one I wouldn't mind owning two versions of.

Supposedly there's more than 1,000 copies of each tape, so I wouldn't worry too much about them selling out. In any case, I would expect them to pop up on Discogs at about cover price.

I got my Carpenter print yesterday. I think it is pretty sweet. I got # 150/150. I gotta complain a little about the packaging. It was in a thin plastic sleeve with no cardboard stiffeners in a regular LP mailer. It was sliding around loose in the box so the edges are a little warped and 1 corner is a little bent. Nothing too bad that won't frame out but it could have easily been bent or smashed.

It looks awesome in the temp frame I put it in, my son loves how it glows.

Not to air dirty laundry here, but my copy of the Blakes Gold edition of the Fog has some serious pressing issues on the second LP -- like, legitimate bubbles you can see in the vinyl. I e-mailed the label back in September after I got it, and Carlos promptly got back to me, and promised there'd be a a repress in 3 weeks or so, and they'd get everything sorted out.

I checked back in a week ago, and I've still got nothing two and a half months later. No response, nothing. It's a shame that I'm sitting here with a $40 record I can't listen to half of. I mean, I hate to pull the "I'm a loyal customer" card, but I've nearly a dozen Death Waltz releases on my shelves, and it's frustrating to be unable to get one simple issue dealt with.

I remember your email, and I am really sorry (again) you got that bad batch of Fogs that popped up. I'm in LA and I don't have any leverage to send you a new copy or anything like that! Email me in the morning and I'll do my best to fix this on my end. We want you to stay happy dude! It's been a crazy last 2 months man!

@thedeepness, Sorry that your package didn't get the proper shipping arrangement. This is what happens when you have interns help you in the office. However, in defense, the original posters already had a little bit of warping on the corners due to them being delivered in a brown paper wrap inside of a box from the Carpenter office! So that was already a defect that we meant to post online. So you're not the only one, and I apologize for not making that a point. As you said, it's a mild problem. Sorry man.

Cassettes are up as 'Coming Soon' on the Death Waltz site. I thought they left all of them at LITA. Guess they had more.

I think the statement was that all of the tapes brought to LA were left with LITA...maybe I am wrong, but I always assumed they would be up on DW website.

That probably makes more sense. Either way, I already got mine in and have them in my expansive Halloween soundtrack collection.

I know that I ordered a solid copy of the Goblin ep from the DW site and it shipped from LITA since I'm in the US. So maybe they're doing something similar since maybe some people don't know that LITA carries all the DW releases.

From twitter: Annoucing the release one of my favourite 80's scores Monday & we found a never aired clip of the composer playing it live on cable TV too.

Sounds interesting!

Received my Carpenter print towards the end of last week. I was quite worried after seeing the previous post about the LP mailer. I must have got lucky as my mailer and print were intact - and what a magnificent piece it is! Very chuffed with it!

Has anyone in the UK received their Carpenter print yet? I'm still waiting on mine. Given that I paid £12 for shipping, I assume it is either arriving via special delivery or in a gold-plated envelope.

I noticed today when I logged into my DW account that their system had merged my separate invoice and postage address into one - taking a couple of lines from each... so I pray my sub 3 stuff hasn't already been sent out. I emailed DW to check - but nothing back from them yet.

I'm also waiting for DW to reply to my numerous emails about a warped copy of Goblin. I know this is not really the place to moan, but am getting a bit fed up.

Sigh.
