... a bit quiet on the forum at the moment? Are people saving their hard earned cash for record store day?

What are the big releases you are all excited about at the moment? Please fill me in with what's looking good!

I really want to get the Darjeeling Limited soundtrack. Still holding out for Twin Peaks of course...

In non-soundtrack news, I bought the Sufjan Stevens album today, which is incredible...

Personally, i'm not saving for RSD because there are just a few records i want.

The main reason for me to buy less(from the states) is because of the strong value of the dollar, 1record from mondo costs me 52€ with shipping.

And if it stays with that, its much but ok. The last 2 orders from USA i had to pay 22€ extra for import taxes.
74€ for a record is ridiculous.

I'm now focussing on the european market.
The only record i will buy from the States if not available in Europe is twin peaks.

It's not going to last. I'm considering making a big euro buy this weekend before the dollar slips further against the euro next week. It has been a blessing for record buyers but not great for stocks.

I am not sure if Easter is a big thing in the US? In Europe the shops are closed and lots of people go for a short trip or Family things.

The strong $ is also a problem for me. If a record has the chance to be released in Europe I will wait for it.

Sure, big day although in typical American fashion we strip the meaning out of the holiday.

Kids go on Easter egg hunts, take pictures with the Easter bunny, and get a big Easter basket with candy.

What this has to do with the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, who knows.

I actually think we can correctly blame the Germans for this one... I think they were the ones to come up with the Easter bunny!

As a (1/2) German I have to admit you are right:

The Easter Bunny will for the first time by the medical professor Georg Franck Frankenau in 1682 in his (medical) treatment - mentioned "De ovis paschalibus of Easter Eyern".

I dont know about other folks but I'm waiting for a lot of pre order stuff to arrive, with other goodies bundled in.

Have also been short of time to post and spin.

Will be professing my love for necromantic once I have given it a proper listen. Looks to be another beautiful OWS release.

The dollar is crazy against the pound. Last time I went to US it was $2 to £1. Now you don't even get $1.50 for £1.

I was looking at going to a friends wedding in Boston but the same weekend it's labour day or some other bank holiday. The hotel & airbnb prices are mental!
