[quote=59539]New double LP from Makeup and Vanity up for pre-order. There don’t seem to be any preview tracks, and it is expensive at $40 shipped to the states. I really enjoyed their music for 88:88, so I went ahead and took a risk on this double LP. Edition of 240.

Same for me, I took the risk based only on my appreciation of 88:88 and the fact I didn't want to miss out. with the exchange rate, it ended up at 57$CAD for me :( damn exchange rate. only a few months ago our dollars were almost worth the same.

SlyVinyl put this in their recent newsletter, and they had a preview track. Sounds like it will be a good one.

New Jon Brooks lp, limited to 300. Exclusive to Norman Records - https://www.normanrecords.com/records/1 ... -carnacki-

"Jon Brooks, although probably more 'famous' for his work as The Advisory Circle, has also released a series of records under his own name, most of which seem to sell out on release. Here we present on a limited LP run of an album which expands on a piece he made for the Resonance FM series Weird Tales For Winter. This is an abridged version of the original digital release with all tracks appearing on a bonus download. Brooks is expert at producing retro-sounding soundtracks which reference library music, 70's incidental themes and an eerie kind of prog/folk. Delightful."

Blanck Mass - Dumb Flesh

Heavy electronic stuff from Sacred Bones up for pre-order.

Typical deluxe Sacred Bones package (limited to 250, wrap-around silk screen jacket, wax seal etc) except this apparently has a human tooth. Which is gross and I really don't want it. But whatever.

Probably will sell out based on the preview track

The Holydrug Couple - Moondust

Moonlust – self-recorded in Chile and mixed by Ben Greenberg (Hubble, Uniform) at Gary’s Electric in Brooklyn – falls well outside the boundaries of the prevailing psych-rock idiom. Aside from the French soundtrack and Gainsbourg influences, they also cite inspiration from the soul ballads of Aretha Franklin, ’80s South American synthpop acts like Los Encargados, Virus, and Los Prisioneros, and the contemporary French electro group Air. The songs are streamlined hook delivery machines, without any baroque arrangements or unnecessary flourishes to get in the way of their ultimate goal.

**Limited Edition Version: Edition of 150 hand-numbered copies in deluxe packaging, with alternate screen-printed wrap-around sleeve, wax-sealed, and available by mail order only. ONE PER PERSON LIMIT.**

This from the Claypipe, the label that releases Jon Brooks among others. Sharron Kraus - Friends and Enemies, Lovers and Strangers. May not be for all but if you like a bit of folk this is nice. Reminds me of Pentangle a little but more bare bones. 500 press, HERE

Lol, I know Robin and would say silly, self-deprecating and bloody good at getting drones from tape, but definitely not pretentious! He's be the first to tell you he nicked the techniques from Delia... :)

CARPENTER BRUT (LINK)

Have a listen...

"At first glance, Carpenter Brut's influences are 80s TV shows, B movies loaded with synthesizer music. Listening to his home made EPs, however, one would rather bet on a black metal background, a crush for Dario Argento and a force-fed religious education. This would explain his satanic mood, his passion for kitsch sounds and his adoration for all kinds of enjoyment. Whatever his influences, Carpenter Brut does not lack the talent to create in-your-face vintage killer tracks."

Forgive my ignorance/confusion on current Goblin line ups - is Goblin Rebirth the same set of guys who were recently fund raising for a new LP by the original Goblin (minus Claudio Simonetti)? ;)

Or is this a third Goblin?

@Spun it's a 3rd Goblin line-up... only Pignatelli (bass) and Marangolo (drums). But they play also in the "official" Goblin line-up (Goblin4 to be precise) which will release soon the album "Four of A Kind"! :)

The other band it's only Simonetti with the old Daemonia bandmates and changed name into Claudio Simonetti's Goblin! Confused? Yeah, we're all confused, hahaha, anyway expect good music, as always! This Rebirth album it's something recorded times ago but still unreleased. In the next months it will be released also a Live Album under the same monicker "Goblin Rebirth". This line-up will also perform live later this month in Italy. ;)
