Can I ask a naive question here. Is black vinyl considered a variant?

I thought black was standard when buying vinyl but a variant was a coloured vinyl.

It does seem in the soundtrack circles that black is not necessarily the norm, so maybe it is a variant?

I thing that the variant is usually the more limited version? That would at least be the case with The Fog...

... Which I have for sale, but if you're in the US, shipping will probably be too much.
