The soundtrack to Piero Umiliani's "5 Bambole Per La Luna D'Agosto" especially is great. Very 60s/70s jazzy with a twist. I was reading up on Umiliani, who I didn't really know. I was surprised to read that he's the man behind the song below

I just happened by BUIO OMEGA, too. I wasn't looking for anything specific; just searched the term 'horror' in vinyl & there it was! Should arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

Piero Umiliani is a genius and aside from library and ost work he is well known to exotica enthusiasts. Some of my favorite works of his are Continente Nero, Synthi Time, Africa, and Mondo Inquieto to name but a few. I've never heard this score, but I'd like to. On a side note, Forced Exposure said they were unlikely to get any new/restocks from AMS "anytime soon."

It seems Norman Records in the UK has both the Morricone and Umiliani ones in stock now. I can't seem to find them anywhere else, so I ordered away.

I'm kinda more excited for the Umiliani. I randomly bought some of his LPs in Japan (Svezia, Inferno E Paradiso and Angeli Bianchi... Angeli Neri) last year because the covers were cool and they were cheap. Ended up being the best scores of the entire trip. I know this thread is about AMS, but everything I've bought on Easy Tempo (like the Umiliani's) has been downright killer.

I have spun the Umiliani several times already. I don't know the film, but it's a very good record on its own. Very 60s down tempo jazzy feel. Makes me want to don a tux and sip a dry martini.

Bumping this thread to let people know that LITA is going to be distributing these Goblin reissues as well as some of the other Argento soundtracks like Inferno and 4 Flies. Spencer mentioned it was rumored in the Ask Spencer thread, and I can confirm that my local shop here in VA has them on order and they showed me the webpage for shops to order them from the label. They told me it would probably be late Dec/early Jan when they get them. I don't see them on the LITA webshop yet, but hopefully they'll be there soon. Prices seemed to be around $30-32 retail each from what they estimated.

I can confirm that LITA will distribute Goblin vinyl in North America. They will also make them available on their website for mailorder.

This is good news for US folk, you'll be able to get them at fair prices with low shipping costs and fast delivery.

They're still missing a few releases, as my local shop has ordered Non Ho Sonno and Deep Red.

The copies that LITA had and distributed to shops in the US didn't seem to have the inserts that some copies have. The copy of Zombi I got didn't have it, and the copy of Suspiria didn't have that pop-up insert. I did get a copy of Tenebre from these reissues last year and it did have the insert, so maybe they ran out after a while? I haven't seen anywhere about it being a first pressing thing.

Only the first 300 copies of Zombi have the poster (insert). Tenebre comes with poster (seems no limited to some copies but all). About Suspiria I don't know, I thought that all the vinyl were gatefold pop-up (the pop-up insert is only in the original pressing). Is your Suspiria gatefold?

It is gatefold, and looks like the one pictured in the first post aside from the pop-up. It doesn't bother me not having it, as the package as a whole is really nice and a big step up from the Dagored pressing I have. I was disappointed in not getting an insert for Zombi, but it's no big deal. I ended up buying Suspiria, Zombi, Contamination, and Non Ho Sonno, looking forward to listening to them soon. I wish LITA had gotten Deep Red, as I'd like to upgrade my Dagored copy, as I've heard they used digital masters to press them, meaning it's probably just from CD's.

Maybe they have pressed other vinyl, it is also available again Roller on the btf.it site, it is surely a repress. NonHoSonno is a great album, enjoy these masterpieces!

Soon will be released a forgotten Goblin album, but I promised to say nothing, anyway will be out in this month I think!

I just compared my two copies of Zombi - the new AMS repress and the Dagored pressing. On the first track, L'Alba Del Morti Viventi, the intro of the track is cut from the AMS pressing and it just starts at the point where the bass line kicks in; the version on the Dagored pressing is about 50 seconds longer and has the drums/strings intro. Is this normal? I can't imagine it's just my copy that has this issue.

The copy i received direct from BTF is also missing the beginning of L’Alba Del Morti Viventi. I was curious about this too!

@Dumais: I'm still looking for further info about that, for what I know the Zombi repress it's the same of the original lp, the Dagored version I think it's taken from the expanded cd edition of 1998 edited by Cinevox, in fact there's also a bonus track on the Dagored, "Zombi (sexy)". I wanted to be sure before posting, anyway I will ask more info to Fabio "redgoblin" which wrote a book about Goblin. To support my theory you can find many versions of "L'Alba Dei Morti Viventi" on youtube and they are all around 6:04.

P.S. I have both versions on vinyl but I never noticed that detail!
