Folks,

I'm trying to mail one LP (2 discs) from 'Merica to another STBC head in the Great North. I'm reusing an LITA mailer and when I took it to USPS today they said the cheapest to Canadia was $24! I'm a noob to the selling and shipping of records, especially internationally, and could use some guidance. Which is the best carrier to go with? How much should I expect to pay? Oh and package weighs 1 lb 12 oz. Thanks.

I'd use a Mondo/Amazon "frustration-free" for one album international. They are lighter than LITA's mailers.

That quote sounds a bit high. I just sent a box to Canada, 2 lbs 8 ounces was $19.35 at the post office. Make sure you get the basic first class international price.

Agree with TX. That's seem a wee bit high, but it's going to be expensive either way. First Class International shipping via USPS is your best bet. Prices skyrocket from there.

Yep. I've sent packages from Canada to the US to fellow STBCers and it was $24 per LP. $41 Cdn to send to Manu in Italy once.

Take mercy on the labels because it ain't their faults. Must suck to have to deal with someone else dictating a factor like that which has a HUGE impact on your business.

I sent something to the UK last year over to Spencer, and it was about $24 i think, and that was over seas. that does seem a bit high for canada
