Can't wait to get my Goblin ep either. It was hard to resist buying it at the show haha.

I wonder what the sub variants for these first 3 releases will be like.

Just took a look at LITA & read that Assault on Precinct 13 is a one-time pressing of 1000 copies. Good thing I actually read the description because it's a fave film of mine so I put in my pre-order. Really looking forward to this one!

New York Ripper is another fave film but I'm not a fan of the LP cover art & I'm not sure the music, on its own, works for me.

Just gave my Goblin EP its first spin. Awesome. Mine arrived in perfect shape. I think the mailer was better than the ones they were using before.

@Bub (and Spencer) - I was wondering what the Sub colerways were as well.
So much great stuff coming out in the next couple months.

Christ, I love the music to NY Ripper. The jazz-rock 1980s at their sleazy best.

Not to change the subject, but just out of curiosity, do most people have the full DW collection? I found so many that I like that I ultimately just bought all the rest to have the complete set. Maybe I'm just a completist.

Matowest - I do have all the DW releases - Mine started with being a Steve Moore freak and seeing he was releasing a 12" on Record Store Day - I wasn't a fan of RSD and actually had an order in with a buddy for the Steve Moore - I just happened to stop a my LRS...only waited 15 mins to get in...and they had all the RSD from DW along with the Mondo Poltergeist - From there I was hooked and ended up putting in a big order with DW then wanting to complete the set on the DW mail order colors I searched until I found them all...thankfully not paying much beyond the regular cost - I actually sold off my doubles that weren't DW mail order colors - I liked what I was getting and subbed up - I also picked up the Halloween III flexi and a sub box to really complete the collection - I will call myself a completist to an extent...I have all the releases but not on every color

Not like I'm not on this thread every day but I'm gonna be that guy...

...is AOP13 a subscription release and are the DW mail order and LITA releases the same colorway?

I came across DW when the Halloweens were being released as my friend was enaamored with the blood splatter colorway for Zombi 2 so I started paying attention to the whole catalog. It took me until the second subscription was sold out to start purchasing the records, however. I remember being surprised at how quickly the releases were dropping for a new label. I've been a long time fan of scores, osts, exotica, library ,usic, etc. so DW and the like was a natural step to take for me. Long road to a small house: Yes, I own all of their releases including a few of the subscription editions when I've found them affordably.

So... let's get this straight, AOP13 is limited to 2000 copies then? 1000 for sale on LITA and 1000 on the DW site?

NY Ripper is a fav of mine as well! To be honest, it is one of the DW releases I have been freaking out about the most. Spencer did tell me in an interview I did for Bloody-Disgusting that more gialli and italian sleaze are on their way so just wait. I'm kind of surprised that the NY Ripper LP isn't the talk of the town at the moment.

I think my Goblin EP arrived yesterday but had to be signed for so I won't get it until Monday. Odd since I thought these were shipping from LITA. But the pink slip says Great Britain.

I also have the entire DW collection. About half are sub colors I got off eBay or private sellers. Very excited to be a part of sub 3.

@StrangeVices I'd be more excited about NY Ripper if the sleeve was more exciting. For such a great movie this one seems pretty boring and one dimensional. But I know others like it so...

I think the "Room 237" cover is a little boring, but I like the NY Ripper cover quite a lot. It's obviously a homage to the EC horror comics of the 50s, complete with "Terror" and the same font (see the link below). The drawing style is different, but I like the colors, the bloody knife and the crooked hand, not to mention the price sticker :)

Yay- more NY Ripper talk!
I do love how unexpected the artwork is. Such cool homage and I definitely respect how DW just flipped the style on us.

@Rasmus Drews I bet you'll enjoy the Room 237 cover more once you are holding in your hands.

I'm really curious now to see what Ms. 45 will look like.

The art for Room 237 is indeed pretty dull, BUT the music will more than make up for it. The art for NY Ripper looks really damn good. I would love to see a music from Tales From The Crypt tv series album release with vintage comic art like that.

I think it has to be tough to follow up on The Fog regardless of what comes out - that entire package was just incredible...the unreleased music, the art, the color variations, the packaging...it was just all too perfect. I just keep my fingers cross that DW puts out a similar package for Halloween, so we don't have to just settle for whatever half-ass release Mondo does.

Re: Full DW collection, I too have them all but was lucky enough to be a subscriber since the beginning. I read about the launch and joined up that morning. No looking back since. I love all of the cover art and think each suits the release nicely.

For me, the EC comic-type art doesn't reflect anything in NEW YORK RIPPER. If the art was to my liking I would have pre-ordered but with so many other releases, I have to pick n' choose.

What slasher film soundtrack has been announced for a Halloween release? I know it has a quirky electronic score and , maybe, has 'Massacre' in the title? It's a film I've seen & I checked out the score when I read about it but I can't remember where I read it (probably here). I think he mentioned it in one of the interviews.

For anyone else who was wondering, just had an email from Spencer as I had asked if AOP13 was in the sub 3...

It is! Which is fan-bloody-tastic :)
(I did panic order one though when I wasn't sure :( Silly me)

So far I think that sub 3 includes -

Room 237
Ms.45
New York Ripper
Assault on Precinct 13

Anyone else know what else is in sub 3 so I avoid any further panic orders and messing Spencer about asking him?

I feel better now. Good to know I'm not the only guy who buys everything DW releases, ha. Thanks fellas!

@bitewerks I thought I read somewhere that Slumber Party Massacre was getting a reissue, but maybe that's just a rumor? Strange thing, there's a guy on Ebay in Florida that seems to be an endless supply of the original version, still sealed. (I got one from him)

Royal Mail (UK) will not pay for any damage caused by records sent in the packaging you describe. Death Waltz are not the only ones sending records out incorrectly. The Royal Mail describes the way they should be sent to meet their criteria of basic insurance. I quote their website "Records (vinyl discs) Place between thick card and surround with cushioning material at least 2.5cm longer than the item. Wrap in strong paper, seal with tape and clearly mark package RECORDS - DO NOT BEND". I have tried to claim for a damaged record and I sent photos of the mailer used and the piece of thick card and they discounted my claim as it was not packaged to their standards.

@bansel @@bitewerks DW is reissuing the Slumber Party LP. I did an interview with DW, along with One Way Static and Waxwork and they spill the beans and confirm the rumors of upcoming releases! Check it out if you haven't yet.
