I saw it! @mateo brought light to the insanity blabbering and made me laugh out loud. What they rave about is actually a funny read as we do only get a few of these flapper jacks once in a while, and we usually try to console these fools TO NO AVAIL!!! That podcast was very informative. Anyone who is even a little interested and hasn't listened yet really should.
I don't know that it has come up here, but he even explains (basically), what happened with CH, and it sounds like the license holders sought out separate releases on their own.

Also enjoyed that podcast with Mondo - sounds like he deliberately doesn't concern himself with keeping up with what people are saying on social media

Listening to it I did wonder whether the fact that Spencer & OWS had sought a licence for CH at the time that Mondo seemed to have done the same - and both totally independently of each other - prompted the whole thought of a merger.... as in 'rather than compete, why don't we combine?'

The one red flag in the whole thing was the talk of Mr Mondo not really being that into music growing up, and more into toys and 'cool stuff' - though sure Spencer has now brought passion for that aspect of the business to the table

Anyway, a good listen as a lot of the info in it was stuff not easily discovered elsewhere. Think it was suggested that that Alien poster wouldn't necessarily be the cover but would be 'part' of the presentation - inner sleeve, back or gatefold perhaps?

I talked to Seb from OWS a while back about CH.

He said he was working on it for 3 years already. They had some troubles getting the rights. Don't remember everything he told me.

But they also needed money to release this. It would cost alot more if they could only press it for the UK and Europe.

At Mondocon (or around that period) they (OWS, DW and Mondo) all talked about CH and in came Mondo.

I'm not 100 % this is completely correct. I was so exited to finally get my records from Mondocon wich Seb bought for me.



And for those waiting on Scanners to be shipped. They always ship single orders first. I think you (and I) will get a notification this week.

I placed three orders the moment the Sleepaway Camp 7" and Scanners/ The Brood were released. Last night I got the shipping confirmation for 1 package with the 2 variants of Scanners/The Brood and confirmation of my order with The Raid + the Batman Die-Cut 12".
Only the two 7" of Sleepaway Camp remain.

Spencer, I have a Mondo order fulfillment "wish". It would be awesome if you guys ordered some bigger mailers and then adjust the shipping cost estimator on the website accordingly.

The Mondo site is currently charging $7 to send a Media Mail shipment for one or two albums (I have spoken my mind on the $7 charge for a $3.17 postage rate already...). As I understand it, it is because the "Frustration-free" mailers only fit two gatefold albums that the site has been set up to add a second $7 shipping charge when a third album is added.

I ended up paying $14 shipping for three albums. That is almost as much as it would cost to ship three albums from UK/EU to the US, and it is more than triple the actual postage rate.

I am not intending to make a gripey complaint post or anything. But it does seem reasonable to hope the logistics-side of Mondo can figure out a way to ship multiple-title orders in a bigger box thereby avoiding crazy shipping costs. I would think LITA can steer you in the right direction-- they use some really great LP mailers and have some larger ones that can fit quite a few records.

I haven't been able to order anything from Mondo since the Death Waltz hook-up and the redesigned store ...nothing at all. Until they get their webstore sorted out and functioning for EVERYONE...there is not much I can do, I can only window shop for the time being. I have missed out on multiple releases, this didn't happen at all in the previous year. Now that DW is over...I can't get anything from them either!

All this means, that I've barely bought anything, in the last 2 to 3 months.

Mondo...can you please sort out your webstore, then I can give you bundles of cash...it's not rocket science.

Are you able to order on other Shopify platform websites, like Waxwork's site?
Wondering if it's an issue specific to the mondo template or a bug in general with Shopify.

Since I work in I.T. And have explored the same platform.
Logistically not sure which level plan they are using, but u can only use real time shipping charts if u are on the $300 high level monthly hosting plan.

At the lower levels you have to set a fixed shipping chart, which is not always a robust option.

So this could be the reason for the shipping cost as it is. With multiple boxes and items.

$7 doesn't phase me.

I've been in contact with Charity from Mondo, but I starting to think that she is close to giving up on this issue of mine...as it stands, I'm currently awaiting on the next response.

I tried to get Scanners/Brood (on the release day) and now I try to get Zombie Flesh Eaters (on release day)...and I couldn't get close to obtaining either of them.

I'm also trying to get these in from the US (delivered to Ireland) and the postal charges are very high, but it seemingly cuts no ice.

Are you trying to use PayPal as a payment or you never get that far?
Is your billing and shipping address the same?

Have you tried a different browser: chrome, Safari internet explorer.

if u want to send me a screen shot or the actual error message you get I can look into a solution,

Granted, I don't work for mondo but I can pass along a solution to them, which might help others too.

Thanks for having an interest in my plight.

I've been using firefox (by default) and I just tried to use internet explorer and now I'm getting different 'error messages' from using this browser. I tried with credit card and paypal...both threw up different 'error messages'.

Billing & shipping the same...I'm getting umpteen various error messages now!?

Or PayPal, PKD. Don't sign out of your Mondo account (or don't sign in or whatever),go to the cart, and choose the PayPal icon. That'll take you directly to PayPal and your address will automatically be added to your order info that Mondo receives from Paypal directly.
