So, I have noticed lately that Amazon will occasionally sell a relatively new record for an absurdly low price shortly after it's been released. Or sometimes older stuff is randomly on sale for extremely cheap. Picked up Deafheaven - Sunbather 2LP for $11, Aphex Twin - Syro 3LP for $15, Modest Mouse - Moon & Antarctica 2LP for $12, and Good News for People Who Love Bad News 2LP for $8...

So, I've decided to start an Amazon vinyl deals thread, for anyone who might be interested in exploiting Amazon's ability to give vinyl away, retail price be damned...

I'll start things off with this week's absurd deal, which seems to be Flying Lotus - You're Dead 2LP. It's been dropping in price since last week on a daily basis, and currently is $10.59. I just keep ordering, canceling, and re-ordering...

Anywho, here's the LINK.

The page has it listed for $39.99, but go under the "new from" sellers. Amazon's price is $10.59, and you get the mp3s as well.

P.S. - This is not me shilling for the man. I just love cheap vinyl.

This is a great idea. I often find Amazon impossible to sift through. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting.

I just figure that unlike deals from online shops/discogs/ebay, that usually are limited in terms of stock so that only a lucky few can benefit, this is something that a lot of us can take advantage of...

And another one...

Aphex Twin - Syro 3LP - $14.83

@basementhorror - if you happen to catch Lonesome Crowded West on sale, post something please! That's the only MM album I really enjoyed, and wouldn't mind picking up the reissue for cheap.

Speaking of cheap vinyl on Amazon...

Hohokum Soundtrack (Limited Edition Rainbow Splatter Vinyl)

And if you like jazz...this is one of Coltrane's most exciting records to me, plus this is a nice reissue from '95 for cheap!

Wow, some of these prices are nuts. I have Amazon Prime, so shipping is free too. Crazy.

Clear Air Turbulence

Squarepusher's newest for less than $10 under the New & Used tab...

be interesting to see if any good UK deals appear. Amazon UK never have deals.

Just to add to this, I had a look at the amazon.com site and it costs £4.80 to ship to the UK and be cleared trough customs so some of these prices work out a lot cheaper for us any way!

What a great score. Exponentially better than the film. I'll never understand how it didn't catch on more.

Looking forward to it. I wonder if we'll get the full score on vinyl from Waxwork or if the composer will choose a truncated track list like they did for Room 237?

Syro is now $10.48. For a 3LP. That's just stupid.

I got amazon to match it on my recent order that was just delivered Saturday. If it's been 7 days or less since being delivered, they'll refund you the difference.

Room 237 is a dazzling monster of a score. I have no idea why they didn't want to put all the tracks out on vinyl. It would be worth a 2LP in my opinion. Since DW included the cd as well, it ends up in my car cd player all the time. The Dies Irae track is a total jam.

As I've said before Room 237 is my fave DW album, or at least top 3. The Amazon price is a steal!

Another steal on Amazon...

Cliff Martinez's score for Solaris is $16.87 on Amazon. Looks like the black vinyl version.

It's been dropping steadily for the last week, but whatever marketplace seller they were trying to match doesn't have it for sale anymore, so I don't expect it to be this price for much longer.

Sure beats the $35 I almost dropped on this a few months ago.

Dude! Thanks for posting the Solaris deal! This has been on my list for the longest time. That's about $20 savings compared to everywhere else! Thanks, again. :)

Thanks for the tip! I had wondered what ever happened to this thread.

Looks like it jumped back up. $25 still isn't bad, but I'm glad I pulled the trigger at the perfect time after a week of watching it drop...

Happy some folks here were able to snag it at the super-low price as well.

Wish I saw this earlier.
Also, 100% agree a longer version of 237 is needed.
